Jordan Philippe

Jordan Philippe began playing music at the age of 13, starting with the guitar, drums and flute, and later turned to the tenor & soprano saxophones, while still playing the flute. Over the years, he has worked on several music genres: jazz, funk, traditional music (Breton, Irish or Ethiopian music...). Showing great interest in jazz and in the music of the big bands, he studied orchestration with Alain Louvier and Anthony Girard at the Conservatory in Paris, jazz composition and arranging with Pierre Bertrand (Paris Jazz Big Band, Claude Nougaro, Charles Aznavour...), and studied the saxophone with André Villéger (Patrice Caratini Jazz Ensemble, Claude Bolling_). He is currently working as a saxophonist and a composer for La Machine Ronde (big band) and Out Of Nola (brass band), which he also both leads.
