Help the girls of the Women Open's team to raise money to take part of the 2014 European Touch Championship in Swansea, Wales!

The project

The team won the Mainland Cup in July 2013 in Vienna. The girls face now two new big challenges :

the European Touch Championship in August and the World Cup next year in Australia.

The victorious team in Vienna on July 2013

Located in South Wales, Swansea will play host to this years event. The tournament will welcome 16 nations, 52 teams, and 72 international referees. The EFT/FIT event will be played at the University of Swansea fields (SA2 8QG) from the 6 August to 10 August 2014, with play commencing on 7 August.

Teams from all over Europe converge at Swansea to battle out in Mixed, Women's, Men's, Over 30, Senior Mixed, Women's 27, Over 35 and Over 40 categories.

In 2014 we are also welcoming 6 new teams which form the first ever International Under 18 Mixed Tournament. Held at Uplands RFC in Swansea, this separate tournament will be played out over 4 and 5 August, with the Grand Final being held on Wednesday afternoon at Swansea University.

Why fund it?

Budget for the ETC in Swansea:

8000€ for the team (14 players and 2 staff members).

It includes Team registration fees and accomodation.

We will be hosted in the Swansea student's accommodation (

It does not include the catering and the travel costs.

We hope to overtake this target, this is the first step of our 2 years program ending in Australia in 2015 with the World Cup! The projected budget for this is approximately 35.000€/team. We need your support!
