Présentation détaillée du projet

The silk collection is a continuity of my artistic vision, that culminated in creating my own brand MAGDALENA MIESZKOWSKA in September 2013.

Like a canvas for a painter the silk twill is a perfect medium to transform my designs into something more sensual, feminine - a luxurious accessory that denotes timeless elegance and effortless sophistication.

The ‘carré’ is not just a simple fashion accessory, it embodies the idea of wearing a piece of art whenever you want it. It flirts with our desire to stand out and to walk through your life with no fear.

All scarves are made in Italy from 100% Silk Twill.

STEP BY STEP...

Which ever scarf you chose it's always the same story. It all starts as an illustration. A simple drawing with black marker on a paper...

When I think it's finished it's time for colouring... and that often depends my mood or the illustration and the story that I want to tell with it.

It can be joyful, bright, fresh and pinkish, like this one...

At this stage the drawing itself is finished. It's an illustration that is after printed on high quality photo paper and framed.

Next stage is usually to make an expositions with all my illustrations. And than what after? Is it just a piece of art to put on the wall? What if I like it so much that I don't want to leave it at home, in the office or just as a picture on my phone? What if I want to WEAR it! Keep it with me all the time and change the piece of art everyday depending on my mood! :)

Thats what gave me the idea of making SILK SCARVES. To be able to make out of my art something precious, individual, and very personal.

So after that, I go back to the first (the original black and white drawing) and it has to be vectorised. For those who don't know this is a very time consuming and precise process, where point by point the lines are being smothed.

Once the illustration has been vectorised, and coloured again, the design for the new scarf is ready to be send to Italy!!

And that's how my scarves comes to life...

OTHER TIME...

Or sometimes I decide that it would be great to customise something else with my designs, and that's how the iPhone cases has been created as a 'special project' ...

And then another 'special project' has been created - two of my posters printed on acrylic glass.

Big format, an amazing quality, bright colours and all this on half centimeter thickness...

À quoi servira la collecte ?

With your support I hope to raise founds of 6000€ that would allow me production of my silk scarves, prepare new samples, manufacture beautiful boxes for my scarves and hopefully help me finance salon in Paris which would be a great opportunity to present the brand, and spread the joyful designs around the world :)

What do you get in return?

As Christmas is just outside the window, you have a great opportunity to prepare the Christmas  presents for those you love a bit earlier this year and to make sure that all of them will receive something special, colourful, made with love and limited edition, only for those who participate in this found raising campaign.

Plus.... ;) You help me make my dream come true - and that would be a great Christmas present this year.

Kisses xoxo

I was born in Poland and grew up in Gdansk, a beautiful city by the sea side, rebuilt brick-by-brick after the bombardment of WWII. I've always had an insatiable wanderlust and it took me in my early 20's to England where I studied Graphic Design & Advertising and then onto Paris where I live ever since. As a young girl, my dreams took on new shapes... Voir la suite
