The project

SLIDE UP is an app allowing you to share pictures on a screen during an event.

Digital art is a creative and innovative area, but it is often practiced by a limited group of users knowing about video-making, tools and software.

After having focused for years on the development of tools related to digital art performances, Pierre and Quentin have decided to let video-projection spread out by creating Slide Up.

Through the combination of selfies and video-projections, Slide Up brings together the audience and the organiser of an event in the creation of an original artwork by merging tens of pictures with special video effects.

Slide Up Camera app allows the audience to take pictures with their smartphones. The pictures are then instantly projected on a widescreen managed by the organiser through the Slide Up Display software, installed on a computer or a tablet.

Slide Up Display automatically synchronises the projection with the rhythm of the music. It comes with different filter, transition and frame options. The application allows the projection of personalized messages and logos and even the selection of the best shots.

Slide Up encourages spontaneity, creativity and experimentation: the pictures are only projected on site and vanish when the event is over.

The way of working is pretty simple:

▲ The organiser creates a Slide Up event on Slide Up Display and connects his tablet to the widescreen.

▲ Slide Up Display suggests the audience to take part to the Slide Up event by indicating a 4 letters code on the screen.

▲ The participants enter the code on the slide Up Camera app previously installed on the smartphone.

▲ The pictures taken with Slide Up Camera are instantly transmitted and projected on the widescreen.

Why fund it?

So far, Slide Up is entirely self-financed.

An alpha version of Slide Up Camera app exists already on Android.

Slide Up Display app is currently a web-based prototype.

Thanks to your help we could get to the next step and provide Slide Up with functions that would allow it becoming a reference within public events, bars, parties and festivals.

Collected funds will help us to:

▲Develop Slide Up Display app for tablet - 800€

An app for tablet will be at the same time easier, more user-friendly, more powerful and will allow the development of new functionalities that would run less smoothly on a website.

▲Create new image filters and visual effects - 500€

In order to best meet the style and ambiance of the different events, a big number of effects needs to be created.

▲Develop a moderation system - 300€

A moderation system will help the organiser in selecting a project the best snapshots proposed by the users.

▲Develop an automatic beat synchronisation system - 200€

In the context of a musical event, it is important that visuals are being synchronised to the rhythm of the music without having to intervene at every change of track.

▲Rent servers adapted to a greater number of users - 200€

The servers being currently used, allow a limited number of simultaneous users. A better hosting infrastructure would support a bigger traffic generated by huge public events.
