I love baking. No, that is an understatement. I have a passion for it. Formulating recipes and creating art out of food is something that is almost magical to me. After working as an English teacher, I realized that I wouldn't be fulfilled with just working in a profession that didn't highlight the skills I had and had acquired.
So,in April of 2012, I was a stay at home mom. I'd just had my second baby but my love of pastry never went away. After managing a pastry shop in the US, I wanted to use my skills that I'd learned in France. So, after making cakes and desserts for friends and family, I decided to start selling my goods at the local markets.
After being told that American pastry had a bad reputation in France, I decided that I needed to make it my personal mission to change that perception. Now, one year after doing local markets and trade fairs , we are well known for our cupcakes and pastries. Going on the premise that most people don't want artificial flavors and natural products, we decided to use natural products in our pastries and to source our products locally. Our products are authentic American recipes that have been passed down with a modern twist.
Now, we have the opportunity to expand our business to have a store front. However, we need your help. We need funds for equipment ,renovation on our rental space and administrative fees. This is a dream realized in such a short time. I had no idea that our pastries would take Auvergne by storm. Currently, we have 1,040 followers on our Facebook page and gain a larger following every day.
I'd like to give Auvergne, a little taste of America through the beauty of our pastries.
