WRP will be the best way to get your news in Paris, both local and international. A radio station in English for Paris is a dream many expats and English language lovers have had for years. This is a very exciting project with great potential, but that can only become a reality thanks to you, our future listeners.

The project

WORLD RADIO PARIS : A NEWS RADIO FOR THE FRENCH CAPITAL

On October 3rd, the French authorities (CSA) have licensed our non-profit organization to broadcast in Paris. WRP will be the first radio station allowed to broadcast in English, starting Spring 2013.

World Radio Paris will bring a mix of news and entertainment to the many English-speakers living in Paris.

Radio2

With exclusive programming from the BBC, NPR and other world-famous broadcasters, WRP will be the best source for both international and local news for expats and also for English-language lovers living in Paris.

Why fund it?

As you can imagine, launching a radio station requires a lot of money...

This first crowd-funding effort is aimed at helping with the initial expenses : promotional and marketing tools, basic studio equipment (microphones, headsets, mixing console, computers, software, furniture, etc...), server costs and streaming setup fees.

Our radio being a news/talk station, this requires lots of different audio contributions from our volunteers. We want them to be able to record from home. But to achieve this, we need to buy a USB radio-quality microphone for each one of them. This is also something we want to do thanks to your financial help.

Although we will have a permanent fund-raising committee (which you can join!) we urgently need to invest in this crucial basic equipment to start our recordings (promos, jingles...) Untitled_oxygen3-wood

Thank you so much for your help. This is the begining of an amazing story.
