<h2><strong>The project</strong></h2> <p>My project is to bring locals from Chiro village to France and more precisely, members Organization for Basic Training (OBT). This NGO has been created to offer free education in Cambodia. In September we will fly to France, and during one month we will meet French and share around two topics: children&rsquo;s education in Cambodia, a country in development and volunteering abroad.<br /> The aim of the project is also to share about the different cultures between Cambodian and French associations.</p> <p><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/581706/1-1553764499.jpg" width="100%" /></p> <h2><strong>Who are we?</strong></h2> <p>Founder of the project: Fran&ccedil;ois, volunteer at Organization for Basic Training since one year and a half. I am volunteering on behalf of a French association called &laquo;&nbsp;Service de Coop&eacute;ration et D&eacute;veloppement&nbsp;&raquo;, my mission is to help with project management and development of the NGO. Moreover the goal is to traine the local youth and to empower them.</p> <p>The NGO: Organization for Basic Training (OBT) is a local Cambodian NGO which offers free education with extra classes (English, traditional music and computer). The NGO would like to traine the students in order to let them choose their future job and also to improve their living life conditions.<br /> In 2019, OBT&rsquo;s school (currently in building with the help of the association &laquo;&nbsp;Echanges solidarit&eacute;&nbsp;&raquo;) welcomes nearly 400 students. And also thanks to a lot of partnerships (Salabai, National Geographic, Heritage Line, Danish Inner on Wheels, Wasser one Grenzen&hellip;) and the support of French associations (such as: Service Coop&eacute;ration D&eacute;veloppement, Agir pour le Cambodge, Association Sourires, Trash is Nice, Echanges Solidarit&eacute;&hellip;).</p> <p>Our goal is the improvement of the village&rsquo;s living conditions thanks to a garbage recycling system (in partnership with &laquo;&nbsp;Association Sourires&nbsp;&raquo;). But also a water castle has been built, which offers&nbsp; to the families from the village an access to clean running water.<br /> &nbsp;<br /> Every Friday, its &laquo;&nbsp;green day&nbsp;&raquo;, we organize this in order to include and sensitize the children from the school to the recycling project.
