Edouard Bineau & the OSEFH Quintet, new album

We will discover new compositions, a cover of Enrico Pieranunzi, a little harmonica, and a great complicity between the musicians. In particular, there will be two unpublished pieces that are an invitation to (re)discover two works by Charlie Chaplin: &quot;The Immigrant&quot; and &quot;The Cure&quot;. Composed with S&eacute;bastien Texier, they follow in the footsteps of the most emblematic pioneer of cinema. Osefh, built with the initials of the first names of the five musicians of the group, but who is a homophone of Osef who means ... Who cares! in slang. Really? Who cares? Yes, maybe the band doesn&#39;t care about the insignificant background noise in which our world is often immersed and in which we forget the essential... of which the group cares about at all. There is O like <strong>Oscar Bineau</strong>, hold a family resemblance? but osef, what matters is that Oscar is a young saxophonist, &quot;one of the most promising young jazzmen on the Parisian scene&quot;. He has already participated in numerous musical projects, including recently a Tribute to John Coltrane in the Rafa&euml;l Dato Quartet. He played in the EPITHETE formation which proposes American Jazz standards played &quot;with brio by this group of seven extremely talented young musicians&quot;. In 2018 he recorded with pianist and organist Damien Argentieri in the Naysing group. He plays tenor, alto and soprano saxophone, which he studies at the Conservatoire &agrave; Rayonnement R&eacute;gional de Paris.</p> <p><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/588344/Oscar_KKBB-1555863386.PNG" width="100%" /></p> <p><strong>S&eacute;bastien Texier</strong> is the S, like Sound, with whom he brings all the energy we know him. He is a clarinetist and saxophonist. In 1995, he received the first group prize in the Defense Competition within Christophe Marguet&#39;s trio, as well as the first soloist prize. In 1997, he won the prize for the best jazz prospects of the DJANGO d&#39;OR. He has composed the music for short films and participated in the music for several films from Agn&egrave;s Varda to Bertrand Tavernier. His albums have been acclaimed by critics (4 stars Jazz Mag for Toxic Parasites). Since the early 1990s, he has been involved in all of Henri Texier&#39;s musical projects, more than 20 years of collaboration with this great jazzman (who is also his father). Steve Swallow (bassist, double bassist and American jazz composer who has played with the greatest names in jazz) says of him: &quot;Edouard Bineau&#39;s name should be added to the short list of pianists who not only have something special to tell us, but also the means to do so... The attention he pays to the smallest detail allows him to imbue his pure and deep melodies with a vibrant sound. He made a name for himself with his album Exodus in 2002. He has been collaborating with S&eacute;bastien for several years (L&#39;Obsessioniste (2007) in tribute to the Palais du Facteur Cheval, an illustration of the &quot;jazz poet&quot; Antoine Herv&eacute; sees in his musique, albums Wared (2010) Sex Toy (2012), Bluezz (2014) and the Chaplin&#39;s Moods project (2018)). &Eacute;douard is also a great musician on diatonic harmonica, he works alongside musicians such as F&eacute;lix Sabal Lecco, Jean-Jacques Cin&eacute;lu...</p> <p><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/588346/Edouard_KKBB-1555863559.PNG" width="100%" /><br /> F for <strong>Fran&ccedil;ois Constantin</strong>, from a family of artists. Fran&ccedil;ois is a great percussionist, expert in salsa rhythms and big tours. He has accompanied the greatest names in French music: France Gall, Johnny Hallyday, Florent Pagny, V&eacute;ronique Sanson... And jazz musicians: Richard Bona, Andr&eacute; Ceccarelli, Arturo Sandoval... He also leads the famous Paris jam sessions at Le Baiser Sal&eacute; every Monday for 28 years.... &quot;... both relaxed and worried, supple as a wild cat, making velvet paws or woodcutter&#39;s paws on his percussion, Fran&ccedil;ois Constantin, a laughter musician, brings to life the poetry of his father, Jean Constantin, &quot;author of the lyrics to the song Mon man&egrave;ge &agrave; moi, sung by &Eacute;dith Piaf.</p> <p><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/588348/Francois_KKBB-1555863735.PNG" width="100%" /><br /> Finally, H for <strong>Henri Dorina</strong>, bassist of Mokhtar Samba, Bill Deraime, Manu Dibango and many others, has an incomparable groove. Born to a Guadeloupean father and a Djiboutian mother, he began playing the classical clarinet at the conservatory at the age of 12. Later he adopted the bass guitar at the age of 18. He made his professional debut around 1982 in various Parisian clubs where he made a name for himself. From then on, and until today, he collaborates and accompanies a wide variety of artists such as Peter Kingsbery (Cock Robin) or Marc Lavoine. He also stands out for his musical influences by specializing in African and North African, Caribbean, Latin and Caribbean music as well as funk and blues. He has worked with many world music artists such as Souad Massi (Algeria) or Eddy C.
