Artisanat Furieux at the World Saxophone Congress

Artisanat Furieux is a saxophone ensemble consisting of students from the Conservatory of Lyon, directed by Prof. Jean-Denis Michat. These talented saxophonists come from all over the world to have the chance to study in this establishment (Japan, Slovenia, Ukraine, Germany, Russia, Italy, Spain, Taiwan, ...). This year, it will take place in Las Palmas in the Canary Islands, from December 6 to 11, 2023. The World Saxophone Congress is a very important event in the careers of young saxophonists, it allows them to meet great international artists, and ambassadors of great brands and to discover new creations, but also to present their artistic projects. https://grancanariasaxcongress.com/ It is for all these reasons that Artisanat Furieux wants to participate in this world congress and more particularly to play the new creation of Jean-Denis Michat: "Psychosis" for 6 soprano saxophones, 6 alto saxophones and electronics. It is freely inspired by Edvard Munch's painting "The scream". It evokes the psychological wanderings of creators and their conflicts embodied by the sonic aggression of high-pitched saxophones.
