Spirit
I am an artist-researcher from Finland, residing in France since 2008. I created my exposition during the last year in France. Entitled the "Spirit," this project marvels at the structures of time, navigating through ideas and culture, at the collision between history and modernity, archaic and science. "Spirit" is an ode to the female narrative throughout history, aiming to articulate the female perception using the language of women. With participative financing, you would play a crucial role in the realisation of my exhibition. I aspire to extend the reach of this exhibition across Europe to the region of Karelia, where women of ancient times had developed the technique known as Himmeli, which I employ in my straw sculptures. The "Spirit" exhibition would fly into the depths of the ancient forests of Karelia: throughout the entire summer, it will be on display in Ilomantsi, Pappeinvaara. "Spirit" est une ode au récit féminin à travers l'histoire, visant à articuler la perception féminine en utilisant le langage des femmes. Avec un financement participatif, vous joueriez un rôle crucial dans la réalisation de mon exposition. J'aspire à étendre la portée de cette exposition à travers l'Europe jusqu'à la région de Carélie, où les femmes d’ancient temps avaient développé la technique connue sous le nom de Himmeli, que j'emploie dans mes sculptures de paille. L'exposition "Spirit" s'envolerait dans les profondeurs des anciennes forêts de Carélie : tout au long de l'été, elle sera exposée à Ilomantsi, Pappeinvaara. Mon objectif est de continuer à exposer tout au long de l'année à venir et de suivre le « Spirit ».
To fund this project entails the following expenses: - Transport costs for sending the items, estimated at 1000 euros. - Expenses associated with installation of the exhibition in early May and organisation of the exhibition tour by year-end, estimated at 1500 euros. The crowdfunding initiative would allow the realisation and dissemination of the 'Spirit' project. This exhibition operates on a non-profit basis, with no merchandise available for sale during the tour. The exposition delves into the realm of subtle energies, guiding visitors through intricate structures of geometric forms, some of which are wearable, inviting them to engage with their senses—feeling, touching, smelling, and listening—which necessitates my presence during the exhibitions. Additionally, I host complimentary workshops where participants are instructed on crafting Plato’s solids in 3D. L'initiative de financement participatif permettrait la réalisation et la diffusion du projet 'Spirit'. Cette exposition fonctionne sur une base non lucrative, sans marchandise disponible à la vente lors de la tournée. L'exposition explore le domaine des énergies subtiles, guidant les visiteurs à travers des structures géométriques complexes, dont certaines sont portables, les invitant à s'engager avec leurs sens - le toucher, le goût, l'odorat et l'ouïe - ce qui nécessite ma présence pendant les expositions. De plus, j'organise des ateliers gratuits où les participants apprennent à fabriquer les solides de Platon en 3D.
