A free, independent and conscientious radio station <strong>Surf FM</strong> has been on the local airwaves and via web radio on the Internet for 7 years with an eclectic selection of shows dedicated to music and board riding.</p>

We are currently only authorised by the CSA to broadcast on FM between April and October. Numerous requests to the CSA for authorisation to broadcast all year round have been turned down, making it impossible for us to benefit from grants allocated to « permanent » (all year round) radio associations.</p>

This seasonal situation is hindering the development and durability of our broadcasting.</p>

Surf FM is managed and run by volunteers and put together in-house: technical maintenance, music programming, program layout, interviews, show hosting, accounting, social networks, internet site, sales projects, partnership projects, marketing, cleaning, coffee, photocopies, etc.</p>

<strong>ANTENNA RELOCATION</strong></p>
<p>
After numerous technical and logistical issues, Surf FM is faced with the problem of relocating the antenna,, this involves finding a new site that will fit our technical, geographic, legal and financial criteria. The move will be expensive, as professional technicians will be required to help with dismantling, moving and re-installation of antenna, amps and other equipment.</p>

<strong>IMPROVING OUR BROADCASTING</strong></p>
<p>
We are often contacted via email and social networks when our broadcasting services – FM, Internet, and apps have any problems. Please understand that we are not technicians at heart but just a bunch of people who are passionate about music and board sports, we are working voluntarily and doing our best to understand and fix up technical problems either before or after a days work. We are entirely responsible for the for the choice and installation of material, software, and broadcasting techniques – occasionally advised by professionals. Help us improve our broadcasting conditions. Your financial assistance will not only help make ends meet for the relocation of the antenna, but also, enable us to make technical investments which will improve the broadcasting on FM, internet, Smartphone apps and the updating of our website. We are also hoping to « finally » be able to list song titles on devices !</p>
