Sciences Po Delegation to National Model United Nations 2015 Conference in NYC

<p> <strong>What is National Model United Nations?</strong></p> <p dir="ltr"> The National Model United Nations (NMUN) program began in 1923 as a simulation of the League of Nations. Today, NMUN New York is the inheritor of almost 100 years of history and therefore, the most ancient and prestigious United Nations simulation program in the world. The simulation takes place in different locations including the UN General Assembly Hall. Today, NMUN New York welcomes more than 5000 highly qualified students from more than 50 countries and represents the perfect opportunity to expand Sciences Po’s and France’s reputation as the home of elite institutions and an active actor in global politics. The NMUN generates a live learning hands-on experience in which students receive formation and training in key areas that will allow them to be the next generation of global negotiators. They, therefore, acquire a deep understanding on the collective action required to solve global challenges.</p> <p dir="ltr">  </p> <p dir="ltr"> During a 7-month training period, we gather once or twice per week to learn about negotiation procedures; the geopolitical, cultural, economic and social context of our chosen country; and to plan the logistics of our trip to New York.
