Série de résidences artistiques
Who is he ? Florent Poussineau is a visual artist based in Reims, France. His artistic works encompass elements of performance, archival practices, and installation art. He explores the complex relationship we have with food in Western societies—an act that is not only cultural but also communal and individual, evolving within specific contexts and timeframes. He utilizes food as both a noble material akin to fine art, with elitist connotations, and as a repulsive and disgust-inducing element. Through food, he engages, categorizes, evokes contradictory emotions, and indirectly replicates certain behavioral patterns inherent in our consumer-oriented society. What will he do ? To carry out a series of artist residencies; these are programs that enable artists to work on their creative projects in a dedicated environment for a defined period. They provide workspace, encourage interaction among artists, and may have specific objectives What will happen within these residencies ? Execution of artistic projects related to the territory, meetings with prospective collaborators, acquisition of new skills, exploration of a population's history, immersion in the local art scene, and other adventures focused on artistic research The crowdfunding project aims to support the realization of a series of international artist residencies, specifically in Japan, Belgium, Finland, and Slovenia. These residencies go beyond being a mere opportunity for artists; they are a true artistic exploration that transcends borders. These foreign residencies offer artists a unique chance to immerse themselves in new cultures, live inspiring experiences, and draw from untold stories and knowledge. Each host country has its own cultural and artistic richness, allowing for the discovery of new perspectives, the nurturing of creativity, and the broadening of horizons. While the world is becoming increasingly interconnected, it is essential to preserve cultural diversity. By supporting this project, you contribute to promoting artistic diversity by encouraging authentic cultural exchanges, strengthening bonds among artists worldwide, and fostering unique and stimulating artistic collaborations. This project provides underfunded artists with the opportunity to participate in internationally renowned artist residencies. Your support will enable artists to grow, gain visibility, and advance their artistic careers.
