Since its founding in 1995, Triangle France has established itself as one of France’s most innovative organizations supporting artists at a formative point in their career. Triangle France supports emerging artists as well as artists that are under-represented in France by collaborating with them in the development, production and presentation of important new projects that enable them to take new steps in their careers.

Internationally, Triangle France is part of «Triangle Network» an international network of artists and arts organizations that promotes dialogue, exchange of ideas and innovation within the contemporary visual arts. Through artist-led workshops, residencies, exhibitions and outreach events, the network generates peer-to-peer learning, professional development for artists and the dissemination of emerging international art practices. Nationally, Triangle France is also part of the French network of residency program «arts en résidence» Locally, Triangle France is a member of «MarseilleExpos». Triangle France is also founder and member of the «Cartel» the federation of non-profit visual arts organizations located at «La Friche Belle de Mai».

At the heart of Triangle France’s activity is the residency program that welcomes nine artists a year to Marseilles and sends French artists to partner organizations abroad. The program seeks to accompany artists in their research from project inception to  realization while offering public access to artistic research and to the current debates occurring in the art world. Some of the previous residents are: Simon Starling (1997), Virginie Barré (1998), Jim Lambie (1998), Pierre Malphettes (1998), Bruno Peinado (1998), Damien Maziere (2002), Lili Reynaud Dewar (2006), Clement Rodzielski (2007), Kara Uzelman (2009), Emmanuelle Lainé (2009), Tim Braden (2009), Dominique Hurth (2011).

Waar dient de collecte voor

Triangle France is a team of six employees working daily to make the residency program and all of our projects possible. Unfortunately, without computers, we'll end up playing ping pong in our offices..

Your donations will help us buy four computers, screens, keyboards, hardrives and dvd players which will allow us to go back to work and achieve our projects for 2013 : the international residency program, the exhibition No Fear, No Shame, No Confusion, the launch of the online magazine Comma and the European program Host.
