Une Soirée à La Belle Époque ( An evening back in 'La Belle Epoque'

An Evening in La Belle Époque is a theatre play in the form a cabaret show which entails of 5 talented actors who will take you back in time to La Belle Époque and witness life through the eyes of Henri Toulouse Lautrec!!

By sheer force of will, Toulouse-Lautrec turned his disability into a superpower. At a time when the only acceptable designation for persons with disabilities was FREAK, Toulouse-Lautrec used his unique appearance to his advantage. It allowed him to disappear into a crowd or the corners of a bedroom, seeing others without being seen.

This 60 minutes play is divided into 5 scenes which enthrall of ‘La Belle Époque’ through the artist’s eye. The energetic and dazzling can-can dancers in the cabaret rooms of Moulin Rouge and his journey from being a disabled child to becoming one of the most famous artists in the history of Paris.

His observations lingering through the streets of Montmartre and the sadness he feels for his mother are some of the strong elements presented in the play. The artistic concept of the performance mainly reflects upon everyone searching for the true meaning of beauty in life and figuring it out as we go.

Keywords:- Freedom vs. proper behavior, Womanhood Beauty vs ugliness, Sexual desire, Loneliness, Discrimination

Joie de Vivre (joy of life) La Belle Époque

                                            MEET OUR TALENTED ACTORS!

                                                   PERFORMANCE DETAILS.

                                                          Book the dates!

Venue: IESA (1 Cité Griset, 75011 Paris)

Date: 7th,8th and 9th June 2018

Time: 8:00 pm (60 Minutes)

                                              OUR STAGE SET-UP

Our stage set up is going to be like A cabaret night back in ‘La Belle Époque’. He was a major alibi/participant of the post-impressionist era.Toulouse-Lautrec's remarkable observations of people on the margins of society almost certainly stem from his status as an outsider, which was established because he suffered from a congenital illness that weakened his bones. At his full height, Toulouse-Lautrec was 5 feet tall, with the upper body of a man and the legs of a child. The crooners, dancers, acrobats, and prostitutes with whom he socialized were his adopted family. He identified with them, and there is every indication that he saw them as equals. Toulouse-Lautrec's early passion for physical activity was channeled directly into his art. This contagious excitement can be seen physical energy being transposed into his art.

                                                  SEE YOU THERE!

Our minimum working budget is 1000 but it can exceed upto 2000.
