<p> <img alt="Israel_strong_bearbeitet-1431341474" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/196245/Israel_Strong_bearbeitet-1431341474.jpg"></p> <p>      </p> <p>    </p> <p> <strong>GLADIATORS ON THE STREET (Community Street Project)</strong></p> <p> <strong>PRESENTED BY: S.I.A PROJECTS AND FRIENDS</strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong>Contemporary street dance is a project born out of the challenges and struggles experienced by the inhabitants of the slum.</strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong>Gladiators on the street:</strong> is a street contemporary dance project, with the aim to highlight the simplicity and complexity in human relationships and understanding. Communicating the message of unity the project tends to encourage the youths and the coming generation on the importance of positive relationships, progressive thoughts to one another, positive mindset, liberated mentality and above all togetherness in our international community.</p> <p> <strong>Gladiators on the street</strong> is a concept, which was inspired by the <strong>inhabitants of slum</strong>; a community were unity and peace never find it strength.</p> <p> The choreographic dance piece explores the spiritual and physical characteristics of mankind from the vision to the realization in the race of his idealism.</p> <p> This contemporary street dance project uses the platform of arts to educate the public and promote the art as a tool for social change. This is a unique way to promote social responsibility to a mass market, and should result in positive social change.</p> <p> Gladiators on the street has in its contents messages on:</p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong>- Hope </strong></p> <p> <strong>- Fighting Ignorance </strong></p> <p> <strong>- Freedom against living in bondage </strong></p> <p> <strong>- Living right </strong></p> <p> <strong>- Making a Change </strong></p> <p> <strong>- Making the best of trying times</strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong>Dance Workshops</strong></p> <p> However, the concept does not consist only of organizing shows; it also aims at laying a solid foundation for the dancers in our community through dance workshops and seminars.</p> <p> In this world has we are, apart from talent and previously acquired training; contemporary dance has been aided over the years by various dance workshops.</p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong><u>The Impact of the workshops</u></strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> The workshop is designed to shift perception of contemporary dance in the mind of our young chorographers.</p> <p> In this regard, the workshop will empower young minds, create, and generate interest in the world of dance, expansion of market base and exposure in the global world. The workshop is aimed at discovering and developing new talents in dance as well as improving the skills and job techniques and also creating more job opportunities for dancers and also the people on the street.</p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong><u>Workshops Objectives</u></strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> Provide a forum for networking across borders Provide a platform for upcoming choreographers to showcase their strength for improvisation Provide knowledge to give artists the needed tools to build up an own social enterprises for creating new jobs and expanding their artistic impact</p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong><u>Workshops target</u></strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> Dancers, Choreographers and also new talents from the streets</p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong><u>Seminar/ Talkshop</u></strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> This exercise is to bring all participants together, upcoming and professional dancers, members of the general audience and all professionals in fields that are related to the dance profession, together for intellectual discussions which could serve as tools for the enhancement of dance development from the grassroots to the professional level.</p> <p> These discussion help to visualize how the dance profession could be handle and packaged in the dance market. They also aim at creating awareness on how dance affects the society and vice versa.</p> <p>  </p> <p> The performing arts are a valuable part of our cultural heritage and future. Supporting dancers in this endeavor shows how we are <strong>INFECTING our COMMUNITY</strong>:</p> <p> Values and enable creativity. She studied Global Management B.A. in Bremen, Germany and in Mexico City and also Cultural Sciences and Philosophy at the University of Bremen. She has already professional experiences in different fields, e.g. in the business sector as well as in a theater. Due to her work at the German Mexican Chamber of Commerce and Industry and as a translator and director assistant at the Theater Bremen, she adapts easily to new challenges and uses her creativity and intercultural skills to find solutions. Lately she has published a book on the topic Social Entrepreneurship, which enables her to share her knowledge with the participants of our workshops and also use her administrative experiences for the planning of this project. We are proud to have her on board!</p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong>Keya Ann D’Souza  </strong>is also a dancer. She is from India and has joined our last project in Bremen Germany. She has inspired us to focus during our next project on India and is also going to give workshops on contemporary dance. Successfully he studied Contemporary Dance B.A. in London and has also a One Year Diploma in Dance, Digital Arts and Mixed media in Bengalore. He has already performed in several international shows and has given creative input as a choreographer at the Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts. Further he combines his profound knowledge as a choreographer and performer to give dance workshops. Together with Keya, he is the reason why GLADIATORS ON THE STREET is now planning its next project in India and we feel very honored to work with such a gifted, high class dancer, who can provide us support with his knowledge about the cultural differences and local networks. We are proud to have him as a part of the team!</p> <p>  </p> <p>  </p> <p> <img alt="2-12_israel-1431342656" height="280" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/196258/2-12_Israel-1431342656.JPG" width="243"></p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong>SUNDAY ISRAEL AKPAN</strong> is a dancer, dance teacher, choreographer, songwriter, singer, poet, photographer and an artiste with the hurl to research, preserve, develop and promote the multi-cultural resources of Nigeria.  </p> <p> A graduate of Ecole Des Sable (jant bi) Senegal, impul tanz vinna ( AUSTRIA)  and Gongbeat productions for traditional dance &amp; choreography,  born in Lagos Nigeria in the 80s, He is one of the most gifted Artist of our time, his style of dance, writing and composing has given him edge over is contemporaries.  </p> <p> He was the first dancer to start doing street contemporary dance in Nigerian, He has done voluntary work in dance for kids on the street both Home and Abroad, His dance and Singing Art has earned him more recognitions and awards. He is a member of (GOND) Guild of Nigerian Dancers and a member of (AV-Smuf) Artist Village Songsters and Musician Forum.  </p> <p> Sunday Israel Akpan is currently the Festival Director of the biggest contemporary dance festival in Nigeria Lasgidi international dance festival formally dance meets danse Organise by the French and German Government and also the director of S.I.A projects (France/Nigeria/Germany)</p> <p> <strong>SUNDAY ISRAEL AKPAN</strong>: Few achievement, Instructor for the biggest reality show in Nigeria, the youngest choreographer at Nigeria centenary celebration, the choreographer for the theme song of sport festival in Nigeria, Also has collaborated with so many artist abroad international award from, seven African Countries, and European like France, Germany, Austria, South Africa, Peru, Ghana, Togo, Benin also as performed in many different theatre and Festival in Europe, And currently working for the Theatre of Bremen in Germany Etc.</p> <p> He is the CEO of a new online Tv station: MA BA WON JA TV</p> <p>  </p>

<p> <strong><u>Why you should sponsor the project</u></strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> The concept of <strong>GLADIATORS ON THE STREET</strong> going to INDIA is, to give dancers, especially less priviliged young people the chance to improve their skills in contemporary dance and giving a professional perspective for the future. Therefore we provide <strong>DANCE WORKSHOPS</strong> and also theoretical <strong>SEMINARS</strong>.</p> <p>  </p> <p> High qualified international dancers and choreographers are going to give <strong>workshops</strong>, followed by a public performance in the end. During the workshops the participants learn to be creative with different styles of dance and combine it in a new form. They are going to feel confident in trying new movements while having a lot of fun.</p> <p>  </p> <p> But thats not enough: we also want to encourage the participants to learn about entrepreneurship in the artistic field.
