UPDATE: ALLOCATION OF FUNDS
- Allocation of funds:
As the fundraiser surpassed the initial goal, we were humbled by your generosity!
We are happy to say that the proceeds from the "Homophobia is unnatural" print, amounting to 2K€, will go to Helem. Helem is a leading LGBT rights organization in Lebanon. They provide services, maintains spaces, and advocates for all forms of civil, political, social and economic rights of LGBT persons living in Lebanon.
As for the remaining funds, we have partnered with Impact Lebanon, to find the best way of allocating these funds to NGOs in Beirut (other than the 2K€ going to Helem).
Impact Lebanon is committed to transparency and accountability. Their criteria to select NGOs that will receive funds are that they are apolitical and non-sectarian, that they are registered and recognised, that they have ongoing initiatives to address the crisis, and that they've passed an audit test. As part of the vetting process, they have selected Beit el Baraka, amongst other NGOs. I am pleased to announce that the funds collected as part of the Raphaelle Macaron x Studio Fidele initiative, in partnership with Impact Lebanon, will be allocated to Beit el Baraka.
Beit el Baraka's mission is to ensure a sense of dignity to hard-working citizens once they retire, by assisting them in their struggle with the increasing cost of living as well as providing relief to the growing number of Lebanese people who are in need of assistance through food donations, housing and medical support.
If you wish to get more than one print without paying multiple shipping costs, please select "shipping" as a delivery option for the first one and "hand delivery" on the remaining prints.
Thank you all so much for your support!
As you can see, we are way above the amount of orders that we were expecting. Please note shipping+handling of all orders will take longer than expected. We cannot provide specific dates at the moment but we will make sure to post updates regularly. As for the people who chose the "Hand delivery" option in Paris 10, we will specify two or three days for pick ups from the Studio. We will be sending dates/address when the production process is over.
