Mère Nature

<p>This performance is in honor to the goddess of agriculture Demeter, whose daughter was abducted by the god of the underworld Hades. Carrying her grief and anger, Demeter started a journey for seeking her daughter Kore; As she left, all the fruits and plants on earth began to wither, people were suffering from famine. With the help of Zeus, she retrieved Kore with joy and went back to Olympus.</p><p>The return of Kore made the grains grow again; Demeter and Kore were celebrating the reunion while human beings were celebrating the rebirth of nature. However, Kore had eaten the food from the underworld, this restricted her to stay in the underworld with Hades for two-thirds of the year before she could come back to her mother. <p>It was a stroke of luck when we met Minino Garay. He is the key person who brought Frapadingos into our project. We are excited to have three percussionists from Frapadingos to join us.
