Oscar and Rosalind: The rainbow

<h2>The project</h2> <p><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/577891/or_the_rainbow_cover-1552427592.png" width="100%" /></p> <p>They are only four years old and already so curious. They have many questions and we adults don&#39;t have all the answers. Don&#39;t worry, this is normal! The age of endless questioning can be unsettling. This is why we have started the collection &quot;Oscar &amp; Rosalind&quot;.</p> <p>Our books tell a story and a bit more, to quench the thirst for knowledge of the young children ages 4 to 6. After reading the book, you will be able to visit the web page of Oscar &amp; Rosalind where you will find instructions to do the experiment, at home or at school.</p> <p>We published&nbsp;the book in French already, with a successful&nbsp;Kiss Kiss Bank Bank campaign,&nbsp;and can&#39;t wait to share it with English and Dutch speaking readers.&nbsp;We aim at printing the book in time for the festival &quot;I Love Science&quot; 2019 that takes place in Brussels at the end of April and where we will present our work. We will send the books in may.</p> <h2>The characters</h2> <p><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/577892/oscar_et_rosalind_bandeau-1539111680-1552427650.png" width="100%" /></p> <p><strong>Oscar</strong> is a little hedgehog who&#39;s always up for an adventure! Be careful when he is sad: he rolls up and pricks.</p> <p><strong>Rosalind</strong>, the giraffe, is the scientific friend of Oscar. She welcomes gladly all inquiring minds in her lab and answers their questions.</p> <p>We chose the name Rosalind as a tribute to Rosalind Franklin, a scientist who played a key role in discovering the structure of DNA. By this choice, we wish to put forward a female scientist whose contributions were not duly recognized.</p> <h2>The actors of the project</h2> <p><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/577893/sophie_et_pierre-1539111830-1552427690.jpg" width="100%" /></p> <h3>Sophie - author and illustrator of the book</h3> <p>Sophie, alias Sopi, is a French teacher and illustrates kids&#39; books. She has a degree in Roman language and literature, and a specialized master in teaching French as a foreign language. She started her career in high schools; then, she taught in continuing education. Sophie now teaches at a school for hospitalized children in Brussels. For 13 years, she has applied her pedagogical and creative skills to support suffering teenagers. As a result of her marriage with Pierre, who is a physicist, and the birth of two curious girls, she felt the motivation for illustrating a book for the popularization of science. Sophie wrote and drew &quot;Oscar and Rosalind&quot;.</p> <h3>Pierre - scientific advisor</h3> <p>Pierre is a physicist. He is driven by science and likes to communicate his knowledge and enthusiasm. As a researcher, Pierre supervised many exercises and laboratory sessions. He is not afraid to get out of his office to lead tours at the museum or to perform physics demonstrations.
