I've checked each copy carefully but if you spot any defect, get in touch at blue (underscore) eyed (underscore) bike (at) yahoo (dot) co (dot) uk and I'll send you another. </div> <div> - The Barcelona map is ready too. Seeing photos from <em>Autopropulsion</em> on the big screen of the Maison Européenne de la Photographie was quite something! A wonderful gallery space, a good crowd, seeing the photos on the wall ... It will be liked, loved, disliked, discussed. It will exist in other people's minds. Today, the festival of documentary photography <a href="http://docfieldbarcelona.org/en/" target="_blank">Docfield14</a> opens in Barcelona so more media coverage. Already a TV crew from the Catalan channel TV3 has popped by the Galeria Tagomago and the Barcelona Photobloggers have written <a href="http://barcelonaphotobloggers.org/2014/05/05/autopropulsion-de-flora-coll/" target="_blank">a blog post</a>.</div> <div>  </div> <div> Meanwhile, in Paris, we're putting the final touches to the book. Following the advice of the Mois de la Photo organisers, we've decided to use the extra funds raised to print 1000 copies instead of 400. I'll end on a few statistics: of the 7960 projects presented on KissKissBankBank so far, just over half were successful, only 242 (3%) reached 150% of their target and less than 70 (less than 1%) raised an extra €2500 or more. This sum only cover 75% of the total budget so the campaign is not finished and we're going to try to raise as much of the remaining €2300 as possible. Not an easy task but as students used to say in 1968, 'Be realistic, ask for the impossible!' So let's see how many new Kissbankers will join the team this last week …</div> <div>  </div> <div> Did you know that Barcelona is the third most photographed city in the world? But I've never quite seen it the way Flora captured it with her camera. 'Grace and sensitivity. Her work is a perfection of beauty and sobriety' wrote Michel-Claude. And, for those of you who were wondering, none of the photos were retouched on a computer: they're true snapshots.</div> <div>  </div> <div> What's coming up next, too, is the <em>Autopropulsion</em> exhibition in Barcelona. It opens in 2 weeks as part of the festival <a href="http://www.docfieldbarcelona.org/" target="_blank">Docfield14</a> and will share the space of the <a href="http://www.tagomago.com/" target="_blank">Galeria Tagomago</a> with 7 <a href="http://barcelonaphotobloggers.org/" target="_blank">Barcelona photobloggers</a>. Flora Coll</div> <div>  </div> <div> With two weeks to go, we've now only got 10% of the funding still to raise. What an inspiration you've all been! The photos continue to resonate with those of you who are discovering them for the first time: 'I like the intimacy of Flora's work. Good luck with the book!' wrote Jarmila. 'This project is enabling her work to be part of our collective memory and it deserves it' said another. </div> <div>  </div> <div> It's been going well on the publicity front too. <em>Autopropulsion</em> is now on the home page of the <a href="http://www.af3m.org/" target="_blank">association AF3M's website</a> and the Women's International Film Festival in Créteil inserted a paragraph about it in their newsletter. The link is not as random as it seems, since Flora was also a filmmaker. Aged 20, she won the Best First Feature prize at the Châteauroux film festival. We've also got our first guest photographer: her photos of Cities will be shown <a href="http://floracoll.com/fra/intantanes.html" target="_blank">here</a> on <a href="http://floracoll.com" target="_blank">floracoll.com</a>. </div> <div>  </div> <div> Thanks to all of you who have posted about the project on Facebook and Twitter. And a great big thank you to Flora's many friends and to the friends of friends who have loved the project: we couldn't do it without you! Your feedback has been great.
