The first collection of upcycled blankets made using cloth from LVMH's fashion maisons, will be made with Nona Source - LVMH Group. Nona Source upcycles unsold fabrics from the most exclusive French Couture Houses and encourages the creative reuse of existing resources. Nona Srouce is a start-up incubated by DARE, LVMH's global intrapreneurial program to accelerate innovation, cultural transformation and talent development. The upcycled accessories are made fom fabric offcuts, mainly coming from La Textilerie. Opened in January 2018, La Textilerie is a place bringing together several activities around textiles and clothing with a short and responsible chain logic: a sewing workshop, a textile recycling center and a shop of fabrics and eco-responsible products. The accessories are made in France, in Paris and in the Paris region using social integration workshops. The first collection will be produced by les Ateliers Perrette, creative workshops at ESAT Bastille, a unit of the association Les Ailes Deployes. Located in the 15th arrondissement, the Ateliers Perrette support and train people with psychological or mental disabilities to promote integration into the mainstream by learning and sharing creative craft. This project received support from l'association Force Femmes. Since 2005, Force Femmes is a recognized association of general interest which supports women over 45 years of age, free of charge, guiding them towards autonomy through the construction of their professional, salaried or entrepreneurial project, so that each of them becomes an actor in their own journey. I have benefited from Force Femmes, the support of a coach for a year who helped me to build the project and the business plan as well as the support of an employee of L'Oréal, within the framework of the L'Oreal Citizen Day, a day of international solidarity volunteering that the L’Oréal Group offers to all of its employees, offering them the possibility of contributing to causes through various forms of commitment, such as skills sponsorship.
