Vous avez répondu présents à la vitesse d’un uppercut aldanien, et on ne peut que vous en remercier des milliards de fois. Maintenant que ce premier palier est sécurisé, bah… on n’est pas sortis des ronces. C’est un peu moins que la moitié de notre déficit de financement. Toutes les participations qui arrivent à partir de maintenant sont loin d’être du bonus, elles sont ce qui vont nous permettre de garder le navire à flot, et de gérer une fin de production sur les chapeaux de roues en plein dérapage sous contrôle. On est au milieu de la campagne, on est à pied d'œuvre pour vous proposer la meilleure série qui soit, et on espère que vous continuerez à répondre présents dans les semaines à venir. The nine years since Season 1 have left him amongst the ruins of a disastrous marriage to Tomie Katana, a failed boxing career and mountains of debt. He spends his time, cigarette and whiskey in hand, brooding over Howard's betrayal and the loss of his friends, Cheeky, Dave, Siri. When he witnesses the terrible accident of his former ring mate Duke Diamonds, he agrees to get back in the ring to pay for his operation... WE NEED YOU! For us, five years have passed since the release of Lastman. We would have liked to put the gloves back on sooner, but making adult animation in France remains complicated, even when putting forward the enthusiasm with which you welcomed the misadventures of Richard Aldana in season 1. Fortunately, our historical partners at France Televisions believed in it, they have fulfilled their obligations to the maximum of the public channel's possibilities, and for several months now we've been hard at work preparing the worthy successor of Season 1: Lastman Heroes. Since the pleasure was too short, we leave behind the twenty-six thirteen-minute episodes to offer you six forty-five-minute films. Six films for six characters, six independent stories (but not too different) that will take you from a still corrupt Paxtown to a snowy Valley of the Kings, through a Nillipolis excited by a new kind of game show, while discovering a whole lot of new universes! The ambition of the series has not changed, one might even say that it has increased. The scope of the narrative, in several distinct worlds, makes it almost impossible to reuse the settings of season 1. The staging, with its emphasis on the spectacular, requires grandiose animation. The music, which won several awards in the first season, is in tune with the story... As you can see, we want the best for Lastman Heroes, and the best is expensive... But the best scripts and the most motivated artistic teams in the world can't counter a global pandemic, rising production costs, and the reluctance of some investors. So COVID came through. The teams could not get through the multiplying delays due to the virus. And for reasons that still escape us, adult animation is still looked down upon by those who sign the checks. All this means is that today we have no other choice than to turn to you again... In the current situation, we have a deficit to make up with several months of production left. Unless you help us... THE CAMPAIGN We have set the bar high. The first level we hope to achieve from this Kisskissbankbank is 150 000 euros. This is the only way for us to make the series look exactly like what we had in mind: SPECTACULAR! Of course, we have a lot of surprises in store for you, with lots of great stuff to win DVDs, Blu-Rays, collector's boxes and vinyl’s of the soundtrack of season 1 and exclusive goodies... Between now and the end of the campaign, at the Annecy Festival where we'll be screening a fully finished episode of Lastman Heroes for the first time, we hope you'll be more eager than ever to discover the series! VISUALS : PACK PRESENTATION THE TEAM The director - Jérémie Hoarau After working as an assistant director and editor on Lastman Season 1, as well as on feature films such as The Swallows of Kabul and April and the Fish World, Jérémie worked as a director on the series Crisis Jung and Silex and The City. He is now at the helm of Lastman Heroes, determined to make sure that his love of cinema is reflected in every shot. The writing director - Laurent Sarfati He is the link between madness and efficiency. Already at the helm of the first season, he is the delightfully sick brain behind La Minute Blonde, Crisis Jung and Jérémie Périn's upcoming sci-fi feature, Mars Express. For the script, he is joined by the no less crazy and effective Clotilde Bruneau, Adriana Soreil, Jérémie Hoarau and Bastien Vivès. The music - Avril and Monthaye The two guys behind the crazy score of Lastman 1 are also putting back on their gloves. Although, not very practical for playing the guitar. After bringing home the FFFC cup with the Emile Awards for the best music for an animated series, they are already working hard on the Lastman 2 score in all the new Heroes universes. EVERYBODY ON DECK and JE SUIS BIEN CONTENT Everybody on Deck still believe like crazy in adult animation. They are right because they are very good at it: April and the Twisted World, Lastman season 1, Persepolis, and soon The Secrets of My Father and Mars Express, among others!
