They are in love, they are friends, and they share their everyday lives of 30-something in Brussels.</p> <p> Until Hugo suddenly passes away.</p> <p>  </p> <p> Everything is turned upside down for the group. It assumes the way people love and make love reflect their existential questions, hopes and neurosis. </p> <p>  </p> <p> It is through their sexual experiences and love life that they will find answers for these questions and reach a form of freedom.</p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong>As if everything was decided naked in bed. Why is their love life so difficult for thirty-year-olds ? </p> <p>  </p> <p> We are currently witnessing the comeback of censorship, prudishness, an unapologetic hate. Protests against same-sex weddings, abortion ban, gender question, etc. How can we fight against it? </p> <p>  </p> <p> Why is sex such a taboo ? Why does it make people discontent or unhappy? How does today’s world influence our behaviours, the way we love and make love?  </p> <p>  </p> <p> I want to showcase this contemporary topic.</p> <p>  </p> <p> I want my writing style to display very lively conversations, leaving some space for improvisation. Music has a very special role: song monologues, concert scenes or music videos. I want the colours of the sets, make up and costumes to be bright and saturated.</p> <p>  </p> <p> The movie alternates between a city atmosphere (flats, roads, night clubs, …) and a rustic feel (lake, forest,…) and takes place in the course of two seasons: winter and summer.</p> <p> My formal search for freedom reflects the protagonists’ search for freedom in my story. I am interested in frictions: a documentary feel, hand held shooting and much staged scenes.</p> <p> A modern, lively, fighting while light and funny movie. I partly single handedly wrote and party used a collective research method through improvisations with my actors.  Several “labs” took place and were filmed (see video above).
