The lurking things that scare us. Things that swarm and crawl about us.</em></p> <p> <em>The heart of the forests hides ancestoral treasures, organic cathedrals of unequalled wisdom, the gentle beauty of the Earth.</em></p> <p>  </p> <p> ________________________________________________</p> <p> <strong>THE EXHIBITION</strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong><em>Forêts (luxuriants affolements)</em> is an abundant and varied exhibition of art.</strong> We are plunged instantly into a fantastical universe.</p> <p>  </p> <p> As we enter, the smells of soil, of leaves, and of hummus welcomes us.</p> <p> A sound installation reminds us of the depths of the forest and its natural immensity – tremblings, rustlings and strange electronic sounds.</p> <p> On the walls of the gallery, a clash of graphical styles: illustration, painting, photography, sketches.</p> <p> Performances invite us on a spiritual voyage: in a meditative ambiance, the spectator will be transported into their ancestral land of the natural elements.</p> <p> Whether the forest is real or fantasy, crossing the threshold of the projected images is enough to penetrate it.</p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong>It’s a call to the senses</strong>, to a sensational action of the spectator. Our bodies are engaged to sense what we give them to see, smell and hear. We must contemplate, sense and be moved and, at the same time, be renewed with nature and with our own human nature within the universe.</p> <p> Like the image of the forest, the exhibition is diverse and varied. Throughout the works of the very different artists using different media, each participant brings their own unique touch to a coherent whole.</p> <p> Like the image of the forest, it is an invitation to contemplation, like poetry, an invitation to renew oneself with nature and offers the view a true sensory experience. This is how they met.</p> <p> Though their worlds are different, they are complementary. They create images and would like to have them seen. So, they have to be shown. Hence the exhibition.</p> <p> For them, the forest is important. It’s highly symbolic, an immense evocative power. In this way, the theme suggested itself.</p> <p> To share, to exchange, and to discover is necessary. Hence the collective element of the event.
