Dear KissBankers,   It is thanks to your support that the movie will finally be done ! We invite you on Saturday, March 21rst at 6 pm at the "Centre Culturel Marcel Pagnol" of Bures sur Yvette to attend the projection of the movie and take part to a debate on genetically modified organisms. Catherine et Chloé   « Face aux cotons » : a movie in the country of white gold If the United States are GMO's pioneers, more and more countries grow genetically modified crops. For about ten years in Sub-Saharan Africa, Burkina Faso bet on genetically modified seeds' potential to produce its white gold : cotton. "Face aux Cotons" is a report made in this country, one of the poorest in the world, where these high-tech seeds are combined with archaic agricultural practices. As we explained, this fundraising was necesarry to lead an objective investigation. Indeed, asking private companies for help would have discredit the survey, since most of the time, these companies already have an opinion about GMOs, and people are then suspected of defending the companies' ideas (whether the company is for or against GMOs). Thanks to the range of beliefs of every single "KissBanker", we hope that people will trust us for going to Burkina  without any preconceived idea.  We will anyway do our best to do the best report as we can. We hope that we will manage to have an objective vision of the situation and transmit it to you with clarity.
