FARI FONI WAATI #2

<p><strong>Fari Foni Waati</strong> is a dance laboratory and festival in Bamako, Mali. The FFW is dedicated to making <strong>original works</strong> and <strong>performances</strong> in Mali ; aiming <strong>artistic emergence</strong> through <strong>dialogue</strong> and <strong>exchange</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p><img alt="Eng-ffw-1506090567" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/452783/eng-ffw-1506090567.jpg"></p><p> </p><p> </p><p><img alt="Laboratory-1506090592" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/452784/laboratory-1506090592.jpg"></p><p>International artists are invited to make an original choreographic work during short residencies with local and international dancers.  </p><p> </p><p><img alt="Fest-1506073106" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/452692/fest-1506073106.jpg"></p><p>Those works are then shown to a broad audience in theaters and unconventional spaces.</p><p> </p><p><em>The FFW is initiated by <strong>De Ceux Qui company</strong> (Mali) and organized in partnership with the <strong>BlonBa</strong> (Mali), the <strong>Djinné Club</strong> (Mali) and <strong>C'est Comment</strong> (France). Performances happen both indoors and outdoors, they are free or purposefully offered for a very small fee.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p><img alt="Banniere-images-textes-eng6-1506090824" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/452793/banniere-images-textes-eng6-1506090824.jpg"></p><p>For it's first edition, in January 2017, FFW welcomed internationally renowned choreographers <strong>Serge Aimé Coulibaly</strong>, <strong>Ben Fury</strong> and <strong>Auguste Ouédraogo</strong>. Allocation of funds

<p>This campaign participates in the global funding for this project. FFW benefits from grants, sponsoring, local partnerships, generous donations, and box office income. This year's dancers come <strong>from Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Mali, Senegal and Togo</strong>.</p><p> </p><p><img alt="More-1507741723" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/457488/more-1507741723.jpg"></p><p><strong>If we go over our goal of 4000€</strong> the money will go towards </p><p>- <strong>inviting more companies from Mali and neighboring countries</strong> to perform during the festival</p><p>- <strong>organizing more street performances</strong> during the FFW#2 and the Festival sur le Niger. The latter is one of FFW's partners, it is inviting one of the FFW pieces to perform in Ségou the first week of February 2018. </p><p>- <strong>shooting a documentary</strong> on the event </p><p>- and finally, adding more meat to our plates !</p>
