Chers contributeurs, chères amies et chers amis, Tout d'abord, c'est avec beaucoup de plaisir que je vous annonce que le film Une Histoire de Coeurs est quasiment terminé. Nous avons terminé le montage du film, nous sommes en train de finaliser le travail d'étalonnage (colorimétrie), la musique, le mixage, les sous-titres, et allons bientôt procéder à l'enregistrement du doublage pour la version française qui sera diffusée sur la chaîne Planete+. Je suis toujours aussi reconnaissante pour le travail fourni par tous ceux et toutes celles qui se sont investis dans ce projet depuis le début. Je suis évidemment aussi anxieuse, car vous allez bientôt pouvoir voir le film abouti! Dear friends, Firstly, I am very pleased to announce that Healing Hearts is almost finished. We have completed the editing and are currently putting the final touches to the colour correction, the music, mix, subtitles, etc. and will soon start the dubbing for the version for the French broadcaster. I am so very grateful to everyone who has both worked on and contributed to this project from the beginning. I am also somewhat anxious because you will soon be able to see the finished film! She has worked really hard during these past two months to gather a little more than 50 hours of raw material. She was blessed with the company of amazing professionals, both in Israel and in the West Bank. I joined our little crew during a three day journey and finally met our heroes, these incredible heart doctors. It was a marvelous moment, and it helped me realize what a very tense moment these two months of shooting must have been. We laughed, we worked, we witnessed the surgery of a little girl, and we traveled miles and miles. Of course I don't forget that this is all thanks to you: your generosity has made Katya's dream a reality. We are currently starting to gather the material in order to send you your rewards, which will reach all through the year 2019. Now a new adventure begins in the editing room. The process should last approximatively nine weeks. It's a magical moment when you summon a mountain of shots in order to write a story while trying to render palpable these moments you have been lucky enough to witness and to restitute the emotion you have felt while it was all happening. Elle est épuisée, mais elle ramène plus d'une cinquantaine d'heures de rushs. Elle a eu la chance d'être entourée d'équipes de tournage extrêmement compétentes et bienveillantes, que ce soit côté israélien ou côté palestinien. Pour ma part, je me suis rendu trois jours sur place pour rencontrer une partie de l'équipe, ainsi que nos héros, ces incroyables spécialistes en chirurgie cardio-pédiatrique. C'était un moment merveilleux, et j'ai pu me rendre compte du rythme soutenu auquel notre petite équipe de tournage a été soumise pendant ces deux mois de prises de vue. On a ri, on a travaillé, on a assisté à l'opération d'une petite fille, on a fait des kilomètres. Tout cela, on ne l'oublie pas, c'est en grande partie grâce à vos dons, à votre générosité. On commence d'ailleurs doucement à préparer les contreparties, que vous recevrez au fil de l'année. C'est maintenant une nouvelle aventure qui commence, avec environ 9 semaines de montage. Ce moment magique où à partir de cette montagne de plans, on recrée une histoire, en essayant de rendre palpable les instants auxquels on a eu la chance d'assister, de restituer l'émotion qui a pu être ressentie au moment où l'événement se produisait. It is with deep sadness that we have learnt of the passing of Amos Oz. Without his unconditional support, the shooting of Healing Hearts might not even have been possible. Our thoughts and prayers go to his families and closest friends.
