More than 80 cinematographic adaptations have been released by more than 50 directors.

Daphné Baiwir, Belgian filmmaker and Stephen King adept for many years, is going to meet these directors who have adapted Stephen King’s work and made us vibrate, tremble, and sometimes cry !

We are planning a 90 minutes film including :

Interviews of more than 20 directors and producers of the Stephen King’s adaptations
An amazing introduction with 200 easter eggs
Hours of exclusive bonuses !

The purpose of the film ? To tell Stephen King’s story differently, and above all, to seek out stories and unique points of view.

It's also a tribute to Stephen King, to his deep knowledge of the human psychology of the characters, and to his mastery of narrative and suspense, which has kept us on tenterhooks for more than 45 years!

🎈An exclusive cast : more than 20 directors and producers !

Stephen King is one of the most influential authors of our time, both in literature and film. He is at the origin of some of the most beautiful works on the big screen, and many of these films have become cult films !

We got in touch with many filmmakers back in December, and within a week, we already have received about ten confirmations, including Mick Garris !

We were overjoyed !

Then we kept going on with our approaches over the months, by contacting each filmmaker, one by one, and by obtaining more confirmations, including Frank Darabont’s !

We would love to convince more than 25 filmmakers to participate in this project and constitute the biggest testimonies’ base with this movie, about Stephen King’s work cinematographic adaptations !

🎈A Challenging intro

The film will begin with a fiction sequence, in which 200 easter eggs will be put, to recreate Stephen King’s universe !

A young woman enters in a small town of Maine. By walking through Main Street, she crosses the road of several characters. A young girl with a Red Sox cap, who plays with a Saint-Bernard. A little further, on a bench, a man is reading a book written by Paul Sheldon... It’s funny as the light can be tricky, we could totally believe his hair is grass. An old red Plymouth Fury, with plates RUN J RUN, and a hairdresser called In the Tall Grass are across the street, and on a building, a graffiti represent ing a man, standing over the ledge. She finally enters a small shop : Needful Things.

The intro is planned to be shot in the US, and we would love some celebrities to participate !

🎈Many bonuses

This documentary is first of all destined to the fan audience. It will be a 90’ doc for TV and cinema screenings, and we’re planning many bonuses such as exclusive excerpts, making-of videos, interview transcriptions, additional encounters, additional encounters, even maybe a long-version !

We will share everything about it with the people who follow us.

I’ve discovered Stephen King when I was ten, during a walk with my father in Antibes (France). I was already a big litterature fan and, quickly, I’ve developed a taste for thrills.

While I was exploring the bookshelf of a small shop downtown, my father came and told me : “I’ve found something interesting if you want to scary yourself !”.

In one hand, he was holding Rosemary's baby. In the other hand, The Shining.

He gave me The Shining and told me : “With this book, you’ll offer you some sleepless nights !”

At that time, funny fact, my father was working as a night caretaker in a big hotel !

Then, I carried on with It and many other books, such as Misery and Carrie.

Since, I never miss a release.

It’s been ten years I work with Daphné to produce her films, shorts and documentaries. Each time, she succeeds in making me passionate about her projects and ideas, and so we’re working in close collaboration at each stage of the project’s progress.

My starting point with King’s universe, like many, was into cinemas. Tim Curry gave me some nightmares at the time, when I was probably too young to watch It, and my love for cinema attracted me toward movies such as Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, Christine, Carrie, The Shining… Cult movies in cinema history, not especially stamped with King according to the audience.

Finally, a few years ago, Daphné helped me rediscover King’s work, we watched every movie together again, and she lent me several books !
