PANIGALE CHALLENGE

Panigale Challenge is about making money for Riders for Health. To make this more exciting and to involve more people I'll do the Eurodiagonal trip on the most exciting bike at the moment, the Ducati 1199 Panigale. That's right, you’ll follow the first Panigale to make it to the North Cape from the south of Europe! After the trip, the bike will be sold and the money goes to Riders for Health. To make this adventure happen I need your help! I started a Crowd Funding campaign to raise the money needed to buy the bike and reach the North Cape. Engine starts on 1st of June 2014 from Sagres, Portugal. Yes you can make an impact!

RIDERS FOR HEALTH

The guys at Riders for Health are doing a great job to make healthcare more accessible in Africa using motorcycles. They are on the field, and their job makes a huge difference for local populations!

THE EURODIAGONAL

From Sagres – Portugal, the most south-western continental point of Europe to Nordkapp – Norway, the most northern continental point of Europe. It’s only 5’500km far, but as I prefer twisty road, let’s make it 8’000km! Can you imagine the Panigale in the amazing landscapes of Spain and France on twisty roads of the Pyrenees. Or a Panigale in the middle of lowlands in northern Sweden! The perfect picture! I’ll make you live this trip from your sofa with daily pics and daily stories directly on your smartphone with the Panigale Challenge mobile app! 076

Because the 1199 Panigale is the most exciting bike on earth at the moment, because it’s gorgeous and it will look perfect on pictures across Europe. Why don’t get a Multistrada instead? Well, where is the challenge of doing this on a Multi? It would be too easy. No pain no gain! The Panigale is the ultimate kick ass bike and it will be perfect for this!

WHO IS BEHIND THIS?

Hey I’m Séb aka Il Bastardo, 35 years old living in Brussels Belgium. Co-founder and photographer at TBS since 2009, co-editor of the Stay True magazine and member of the DOC Belgium – Ducati Sud Belgio. I like Ducati’s (you bet!) and I have three vices, I’m a riderlcoholic, a photolcoholic and a travelcoholic. Doing all this at the same time makes me really high. Oh and I drink too much coffee but I’m working on this ;-). I have a 2010 Ducati Hypermotard as a daily ride, I usually do 25’000 – 30’000km per year, I have no car so I don’t really have the choice ;-). I’ve been riding to Turkey and Georgia last year and made various other trips in Europe.

Here is the budget for the project:

- 1199 Panigale S: 22'000EUR(will get a second hand bike with lowest mileage possible to avoid too much depreciation)

- Fuel: 1'000EUR

- Lodging: 500EUR

- Set of tires: 250EUR

- Bike transport to start point: 400EUR

- Bike insurance for two months: 75EUR

- KissKissBankBank fees: 1'700EUR

Total: 25'925EUR

CALENDAR

- 13th March 2014 - 26th April 2014: Funding Campaign

- Early May: Find a Second Hand 1199 Panigale with low mileage

- 28th May 2014: bike transport to south of Portugal

- 30th May 2014: Adventure starts from Sagres, Portugal

- Around 22th of June: reach the North Cape

- Around 26th of June: Back in Brussels

- Early July, first rewards are sent, bike for Sale

- August bike is sold, money is sent to Riders for Health. All rewards are sent
