Un an à Mouans-Sartoux, by "Un jour, une photo" - livre photo

<p dir="ltr"> We are two amateur photographers, Bruno Gros and Laurent Del Fabbro, who have launched in 2011, the initial project, "One day One picture" (un  jour, une photo), which was to make every day, during our spare time, a photo in Mouans-Sartoux (in Maritimes Alps, France), and to publish it on Facebook.</p> <p dir="ltr">  </p> <p dir="ltr"> <img alt="Img_7873b-1445438746" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/243337/IMG_7873b-1445438746.jpg"></p> <p dir="ltr">  </p> <p dir="ltr"> <strong><u><img alt="Bandeau1-1445515414" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/243637/bandeau1-1445515414.jpg"> </u></strong></p> <p dir="ltr">  </p> <p> In the beginning, there was a rule. A frame. Not a discipline, much less an obligation but for the idea endures through time - the concept of sustainability is one of the cornerstones of this project - it had to rule. And stick to it : every day a photo ! But only and Mouans-Sartoux.</p> <p>  </p> <p> We did it at the beginning and it's still nothing insurmountable today. As long as we put a new look every day and those around us. Washing us from all artistic pretension, political, aesthetic, unconstrained audience and seduction to an audience. With only bias, a look, ours. Observe, watch, watch over, stop for a moment and seize what seems to freeze not for eternity, but for some time. A picture that everyone in his way receive, interpret and experience the atmosphere there, a warmth, a memory, an image. Or not. It can be completely sealed to graphic forms and be seduced by the nap of a cat lying on a chair in the village. And vice versa. You can love or hate someone, a day, a month, a year. And later, look at it from a new perspective, a different angle. It is the relationship, it is the link to the other we create. "I am the link I weave with others," wrote Albert Jacquard. A field fallow, children have fun at the carnival, a sunrise, a village street : it is a link, that's life, that's you, it's us.</p> <p> And sometimes these true moments, those moments of peace and simple joy when we turn to the other, out of time, we look at the more busy of the immediate tasks, essential or superfluous. And all is lost in the memory. Who we are, what surrounds us, everything is beautiful ! And what we like, we respect it. Looking at our children, our streets, our environment, these large and the small pleasures of life, we will not tire of loving them. Fully illustrated with pictures. In this publication, we screened nearly 200 shots. This review led to 5,500 copies, was funded through advertising and distributed free to Mouansois. In December 2014, we also made available to the town of Mouans-Sartoux, 4 new images that served as supports for printing 8,000 postcards.</p> <p dir="ltr"> Complementing our <a href="https://www.facebook.com/unjourunephoto.org" target="_blank">Facebook</a> we have developed a <a href="http://unjourunephoto.org" target="_blank">dedicated website</a> where we publish all of our photographic work.</p> <p dir="ltr">  </p> <p dir="ltr"> <img alt="Img-2889tree-2-1445440177" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/243347/IMG-2889tree-2-1445440177.jpg"></p> <p dir="ltr">  </p> <p> <img alt="Bandeau3-1445515438" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/243639/bandeau3-1445515438.jpg"></p> <p dir="ltr">  </p> <p> Today we wish to continue to share our work and clichés, independently. Independence both in the selection of our photos and nature of texts and legends that accompany them. This independence at a cost. <strong>To finance our publication, we are launching a KissKissBankBank which aims to cover the printing and distribution costs (€ 2100 for 200 books).</strong> The aim is to publish in the course of December, the book "A year in Mouans-Sartoux, by one day a picture." This work is in landscape format 148 x 210 mm, four-color digital printing. It is illustrated with photos taken during the past year about the town or we live and work, Mouans-Sartoux. These photos are mostly landscapes, macros, and snapshots.
