VF Hello ! Bonjour les Kisskissbankers de LUX, Ça y est ! Le compte à rebours pour notre retour au Studio Black Box pour enregistrer le NOUVEL ALBUM ! à commencé. Depuis notre dernier message, les répétitions ont repris avec le groupe et les nouvelles chansons sonnent super bien. Ce soir, nous publierons sur Facebook et Instagram les informations sur la campagne de collecte de fonds et le lien pour nous aider à couvrir les coûts de ce nouvel album, mais nous voulions d'abord VOUS parler.  Vous avez été là pour nous en 2016, l'album "Super 8" est le votre aussi et parce que nous espérons, bien sûr, nous espérons vous garder avec nous tout au long de ce prochain chapitre très important pour LUX. V.F. Chers KissKissBankers de LUX, Tout d'abord  Comment allez-vous? Sérieusement, nous voulons vraiment savoir.  Vous êtes dans nos pensées. Nous voici, spectateurs captifs d'une crise mondiale.  Nous avons des amis qui ont perdu des êtres chers et nous savons que des drames personnels sont entrain de se dérouler silencieusement et invisiblement à côté de chacun d'entre nous.  Ainsi, dans cette réalité où le soleil brille et où le ciel est plus bleu que jamais comme pour nous ignorer, nous avons eu le temps de réfléchir, rappelant par ce moment surréaliste à quel point nous sommes fragiles, à quel point nous sommes connectés, à quel point la vie peut être éphémère. Et après toute cette réflexion, nous nous tournons vers ce que nous connaissons- la musique; la faire, la jouer, la créer, l'écrire, l’écouter. Vous nous avez peut-être trouvés assez discrets récemment sur les réseaux sociaux. C'est parce que les premières semaines, nous étions tous un peu sous le choque. Les répercussions de ce virus, non seulement sur l'humanité mais, dans notre petit coin de l'univers, sur le monde de la musique et plus particulièrement sur les live, nous ont profondément touchées.  C'est aussi parce que nous étions déjà quelque peu isolés en travaillant sur l'album -  retravaillant les chansons, réenregistrant les démos et affinant les arrangements, les harmonies et, comme toujours, écrivant de nouveaux morceaux malgré le fait que nous ayons maintenant plus qu'assez de chansons ; c'est ainsi. Nous n'avons pas joué la carte « suspense » mais vous savez que nous allons en studio pour enregistrer le deuxième album. Il se trouve que nous avons déjà réservé des dates pour début juillet. Le plan est de retourner à Black Box. Est-ce que cela coûte cher, vous demandez? Oui! Est-ce que cela en vaut la peine? Oui! Nous sommes dévoués à la musique que nous aimons faire, à sa sincérité, à sa texture. Nous sommes des fidèles àl'analogique dans un monde numérique et le son que nous pouvons obtenir à Black Box fait écho au son dans nos têtes. Pour ce prochain enregistrement essentiel, nous aurons besoin de votre soutien. Dear KissKissBankers, First of all  How are all of you doing? Seriously, we really want to know.  You have been in our thoughts. Here we all are, captive audience to a global crisis. We all have friends who have lost loved ones and we know that personal dramas are taking place silently and invisibly right next to each of us.  So in this reality where the sun shines on and the skies are clearer than ever as if to ignore us, we have had some time to reflect,  reminded by this surreal moment just how fragile we are, how connected we are, how fleeting life can be. And after all that thinking we turn to what we know – music; making it, playing it, creating it, writing it, listening to it. You may have found us rather discreet recently on the social networks. This is because the first few weeks we were all a bit stunned. The repercussions of this virus, not only on all humanity but also in our tiny corner of the universe given the tremendous impact it is having on the music world and specifically on live performances, have affected us deeply.  It is also because we were already somewhat in seclusion working on the album. We’ve been reworking the songs, re-recording the demos and refining the orchestration, harmonies and, as ever, writing new material in spite of now having more than enough songs but hey, it’s just what we do. We didn’t play the suspense card and you know that we are going into the studio to record our second album; we have already reserved dates for early July. The plan is a return to Black Box. Is it expensive you may ask? Yes! Is it worth it? Yes! We are devoted to the music we love to make, the sincerity of it, the texture. We are analog addicts in a digital world and the sound we get at Black Box echoes the sound in our heads. For this next essential recording we will need your support. Dans un paysage musical changeant, LUX cherche à faire son propre chemin. Pour nous la créativité reste prioritaire, notre vrai objectif mais pour survivre il faut grandir, élargir, s'étendre. La pochette a demandé plus de travail que prévu et surtout il fallait d’abord trouver l’endroit pour les faire faire car la plupart des productions se font en DMM (« direct metal mastering ») qui est une procédure digitale. « Super 8 » étant enregistré sur bandes analogues, on cherchait une fabrication « à l’ancienne » qui se fait avec des laques pour avoir le bon son – pas facile pour une édition « collector » limitée à 100 exemplaires. Nous avons trouvé une presse en France et nous espérons les avoir fin avril ou début mai.Nous avons aussi quelques dates de concert où nous serions ravis de vous voir. For a very limited “collector” edition of 100 vinyl records, most places use a system called DMM (“Direct Metal Mastering”), which is a digital process. Given that “Super 8” was recorded on analogue tapes, we really wanted to keep the bar as high as possible in terms of sound and it took a while to find a company who still worked with lacquers. Bonjour Kisskissbankers de LUX!Il y a eu tellement de choses ces derniers temps que nous n’avons pas eu un instant pour reprendre notre souffle et vous donner des nouvelles – mea culpa. Mais nous pensons bien à vous car vous êtes intrinsèquement liés à notre premier album. Ces deux derniers mois nous avons donné quelques concerts super cool et nous avons terminé le clip du single – encore avec le très talentueux Jehsong Baak et monteur Corentin Doucet, signé avec une agence de presse ainsi qu’envoyé les cd’s au pressage - BIG UP à Mike Derez pour son travail sur la pochette, liner notes etc.Maintenant, avec tout ça fini, nous pouvons vous donner quelques dates fermes: le single et son clip sortiront vers la mi-septembre et l’album sortira le vendredi 6 OCTOBRE !!!Ceux qui ont commandé les cd’s les recevront en avance, d’autres contreparties seront disponible bientôt (à La Rentrée). Bonjour les Kisskissbankers de LUX   Il nous semble entendre un chuchotement - quelque chose dans l’air - du genre: “alors, ce premier album de LUX...il doit sortir bientôt, non?” Pour ceux qui se posent cette question…   Comme vous le savez, l’idée de départ était de sortir l’album ce printemps mais malgré notre grande impatience pour vous faire écouter les chansons il y a une légère modification au programme. Les pouvoirs en place – avec notre accord bien entendu – ont suggéré que nous retardions la sortie en septembre. Cela va nous permettre d’avoir un peu plus de temps pour brancher tout le monde (littéralement) sur le projet. Il ne faut pas désespérer pour autant ! Il se passe constamment quelque chose: LUX partagera l’affiche à Paris ce 9 juin au Supersonic pour un super concert avant de partir dans la nature vers d’autres lieux pour d’autres concerts. Dans les semaines à venir nous commencerons le tournage des scènes pour le clip du single. Voila quelque chose qui sortira avant l’album! KISSKISSBANKERS deLUXes    Nous pensons à vous à chaque pas de notre chemin vers 2017 et la sortie de notre premier album. En attendant nous avons voulu vous inviter dans la salon le temps d'une chanson devant l'arbre de Noël pour marquer la fin d'une année qui a été assez étonnante. Et nous avons voulu une chanson forte. Hello Kisskissbankers de-LUX-e    Click here for the: <a href="https://www.kisskissbankbank.com/en/projects/lux-1er-album--2/wall" target="_blank">English version</a>   LUX a passé un peu plus de 2 semaines au Studio Black Box ce mois d'août afin d'enregistrer les chansons qui vont figurer sur ce premier album. C'était intense et fantastique. Les chansons sont maintenant mixées et nous sommes très (très) heureux du résultat. Travailler avec Peter Deimel était un réel plaisir.  Il est temps maintenant que nous passions à la prochaine étape essentielle - le visuel d'album, le travail à faire sur le réseau professionnel afin de préparer la sortie de l'album en 2017. Il va falloir un peu de patience car les chansons devraient être masterisées avant d'être dévoilées.  Vous étiez avec nous depuis le premier jour et afin de vous donner un petit aperçu du parfum de cet album, voici un lien vers un des solos de guitare de Sylvain. Les prises rythmiques ont été faites live avec basse, batterie et guitare enregistrés ensemble dans le studio avec la voix témoin. Ensuite, les pistes de guitare sont jouées par Sylvain à côté de Peter près de la table avec divers pedals d'effets selon le morceau avant la dernière étape des pistes de voix. BONJOUR AMIS KISSKISSBANKERS !!   Un petit "update" direct du studio Black Box. Aujourd'hui nous sommes à J5 et les prises live (basse, batterie, guitare) sont faites. Sylvain met les autres guitares progressivement chanson par chanson et les prises des voix commencent cet après-midi. LUX est fait de musique et de mots mais là, les mots nous manquent pour vous dire à quel point nous sommes heureux et reconnaissants pour votre participation impressionnante. Grace à vous tous, nous allons pouvoir enregistrer notre premier album dans un des meilleurs studios au monde avec un peu de tranquillité, sachant que nous aurons de quoi aller au-delà du mastering. 48 heures restent pour faire avancer notre projet du premier album. À ce jour 74 personnes nous ont rejoint sur la route vers le Studio Black Box et nous voulons vous remercier à nouveau.
