Marc Socié est né à Paris en 1989.   Ces oeuvres tournent principalement autour du thème de la Chimère, de l'être composite inspiré de la morphologie dite classique aussi bien animale qu'humaine, sujet qu'il a approfondi sous forme écrite dans son mémoire.  Dans ses dessins, les créatures hybrides côtoient des objets familiers et créent des surprises visuelles, tantôt effrayantes, tantôt étranges.   L’univers de Marc Socié surprend l'esprit, les sens par un ou des caractères inhabituels, singuliers, extraordinaires. Cela donne toute leur force à ses oeuvres. Son travail est fin, épuré et précis, que se soit dans ses gravures ou ses dessins. Il s’inspire et réinterprète les formes tout en gardant une impression de mouvement, de vie dans son traité.
