Les Colporteurs is partnering with the Colombian associations Ekilybre, Circo para todos, Cali Circo and Forculvida, to organize the first international Latin American wire convention in Cali, Colombia.</p>

This event is part of a broader project of exchange with the people and social and cultural organizers of Cali. Internships, workshops, teacher trainings, performances of our 2 street shows (Les Etoiles) will be organized around and during the convention, all taking place from the 10th to the 22nd of April, 2017.</p>

One of our street performances, <strong>Evohé</strong> (<a href="http://www.lescolporteurs.com/les-spectacles/5-les-etoiles-4.htm" target="_blank">www.lescolporteurs.com/evohe</a>) will then tour five cities in Colombia through May 11 in partnership with the Alliances Francaises of Cali, Buenaventura, Pereira, Medellin and Bogota. This tour will not be in theaters or other cultural production centers, but will take place in the heart of cities and among the people.</p>

We want to use our experience, our networks and our reputation to help these partner associations to develop this project and make Cali a capital of circus in Latin America. In the longer term, these associations wish to take advantage of the visibility and international influence of this event to create a multidisciplinary festival and to introduce new social and cultural actions in their cities.</p>

<strong><u>Who are we ?</u></strong></p>

<strong> </strong><strong>Les Colporteurs</strong> is a contemporary circus company of international renown. Founded in 1996 by Antoine Rigot and Agathe Olivier, their work revolves around the discipline of tightwire. <a href="http://www.lescolporteurs.com/" target="_blank">Www.lescolporteurs.com</a></p>

The association <strong>Ekilybre</strong> is based in Cali and aims to develop processes of citizen participation through artistic and cultural practices, particularly the circus arts. <a href="http://facebook.com/Ekilybre" target="_blank">Facebook.com/Ekilybre</a></p>

The National School of Circus, <strong>Circo para Todos</strong>, founded in 1995, is dedicated to aiding the social integration of disadvantaged children through the learning of circus skills. <a href="http://circoparatodos.org/" target="_blank">Circoparatodos.org</a></p>

<u><strong>Why do we call on your generosity? What are our goals?</strong></u></p>

This project is supported by the Institut Français and its sponsors' committee within the framework of the France-Colombia 2017 year. Within the framework of this support, only part of the international travel is covered. Les Colporteurs are paying themselves for the additional costs incurred in the transport of their people and equipment; as well as the costs of the project’s organization.</p>
<p>
Since the partner associations have meagre resources to cover the on-site reception, we are asking for your support in order to finance some of the costs of organizing this convention. P { margin-bottom: 0.21cm; }</p>

The money collected will be used to support an artistic, social and cultural project in Colombia.</p>
