An easily transportable electric kart for children

<h3><strong>Our project in a few&nbsp;words :</strong></h3> <p>The Overjump is a new kind of electric kart for children invented in France by Marcel BELTRAN. This kart, invented in 2011, has undergone various technical improvements in order to be as efficient as possible. Much lighter and smaller than a traditional karting, this little racing car is hooked by all the children who have tried it. Please watch the video to get a better idea of what the Overjump is !</p> <p>Unlike a traditional karting, it will easily fit in a car trunk (see video for more info). In addition, its battery allows an autonomy of about 1 hour. For the most greedy, it will be possible to get as many &quot;battery packs&quot; as necessary to multiply the time of use of budding pilots.</p> <h3><strong>The origins of the project</strong></h3> <p>Initially, my childhood memories take me back to the days when I hurtled down the slopes of my village sitting on my skateboard.</p> <p>Having become a father, I then imagine for my children aged 2 and 9 years old, an electric motor board. Taken by work and daily life, I continued to think about this idea of a kart and constantly rework my project by organizing tests on a private area specially designed for the kart.</p> <p>In 2018, in front of the enthusiasm of those around me and those who try the Overjump, I decided to share this invention beyond the family circle and joined forces with Jean-Michel Berthomieu to create a company. The beginning of the adventure then begins. This is how we set out to meet a French sourcer who directs us to a first factory with which we will make our first official prototype. As this manufacturer did not meet the specifications, we decided to end the partnership.</p> <p>After this first mishap, we flew to China a second time and came into contact with a factory more suited to our production needs. However, after analyzing the manufacturing conditions, we ended the negotiations because the proposed contract would have made us lose the decision-making and commercial monopoly.</p> <p>Based on these first two experiences, we have not given up. We have learned lessons from these different adventures.<strong> We have finally found a production plant that meets our expectations, respecting our strict specifications, and whose terms of the contract are in good standing.</strong></p> <p>We can now <strong>launch our project of marketing the Overjump through not only distributors but also through the sale to owners of karting circuits</strong>, who like us, will see the potential of the Overjump through the ease and low cost of maintenance as well as its very intuitive operation. <strong>In addition, this all-terrain kart can go on asphalt as well as on wasteland near a main circuit, which could easily be converted into a special &ldquo;Overjump&rdquo; side track.</strong></p> <h2><strong>This is where you have a role to play !</strong></h2> <h3><strong>Why and how does the Overjump stand out?</strong></h3> <p><strong>The added value of Overjump in a few words :</strong></p> <ul> <li>Easily transportable</li> <li>Robust</li> <li>Duration of use (+ or - 1 hour of autonomy with a battery)</li> <li>Change of &quot;battery pack&quot; in just 2 minutes</li> <li>Very intuitive driving with only 2 steering wheel controls (accelerator + brakes)</li> <li>3 secure speeds (10km / h, 20km / h and 30km / h) *</li> <li>Does not pollute the air</li> <li>No noise pollution unlike a classic karting</li> <li>Easy maintenance</li> </ul> <p><em>* Speeds accessible under the karting by means of a key</em></p> <h3><strong>Some technical informations on the Overjump</strong></h3> <p>This kart can be equipped with a pack of 3 batteries for a total of 36 volts. The power of each battery is 12 volts for 12 amps / hour. The chassis is made of steel, which provides good strength, and the body is made of flexible plastic, which provides good shock absorption. The Overjump, both very close to the ground and wide, thus provides excellent road holding, whatever the surface.</p> <p><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/724806/f4105a05-23a1-4db7-9ffe-a644a31ae90b.jpg" width="100%" /></p> <h3><strong>An all-terrain karting dedicated to sale to the general public ...</strong></h3> <p>With the prototype now well completed, we have finally found a factory capable of producing the Overjump according to our strict specifications. Our goal is now to find resellers who, like us, will see the benefit of having the Overjump in their stores in France but also in Europe.</p> <h3><strong>... but also intended for owners of karting circuits and leisure parks</strong></h3> <p>Indeed, we also want to go further by offering the Overjump in all karting circuits and leisure parks. The latter could thus offer sessions for children aged 5 to 12 in the same way as traditional karting. There are several advantages for kart owners.
