A Short Film About Skate

<p><strong>The project</strong></p> <p>A Short Film About Skate, is a skate video documentary shot on a 16mm camera. The idea would be to film two skateboarders in parallel, one in Paris and the other in Marseille. More than just filming tricks, we seek to portray a way of life, a conception of freedom and speed that is often found in this practice, at the limit of extreme sport. The video will be relatively short, around 5 minutes, at the crossing between fashion film and gonzo documentary; an on-board camera in a particular environment, while paying particular attention to aesthetics, to the image itself.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Who is behind the project ?</strong></p> <p>Passionate about skateboarding since my childhood, I always wanted to show this universe on the screen, to show a true, authentic vision. The first point in this direction is to shoot with a 16mm camera. Indeed, most skateboarding videos / fashion movies are often shot with digital cameras and we really want to break with that kind of aspect of the golden age of skateboarding, the Los Angeles vibe of the late 90&rsquo;s and early 2000&rsquo;s. But filming with film does not mean no dynamism.. We really seek to have an on-board camera aspect that we consider important to succeed in getting as close as possible to the &laquo;trash&raquo; aspect of the skateboarding world. For this, we must be a pretty small team, in order to be able to move quickly. It is why there will be two of us on the set: a director and a cinematographer. For interviews, we will record them before.
