Carta de Navegación
The Project Hi, I’m Anita! I’m from Argentina and I currently live in France, in the Auvergne region. Miralejos, that’s my 64-year-old German accordion. We met in Chile 4 years ago, and it was love at first sight. Abdel is our travel partner and works behind the scenes with the camera. He provides logistical support, as well as emotional at times. Carta de Navegación is an album I’d like to call “alive” because it’s constantly evolving. The idea came to me as I was on a canoe. On this album, I have invited various musicians to take part in each track: I thus find myself on a cultural crossroad, always between different parts of the world. One of the bases of this project is collective creation – enrichment through multiple sources of creativity. The project is also a journey on a world map, where all my compositions were brought to life - still between two continents. Miralejos is also the vessel allowing me to navigate between these worlds. Every track on the album will have its own video. I see audio-visual production as a mixture of all my passions: music, of course, but also dancing and performing arts. The first video, Aquelarre, was filmed back home, in Argentine Patagonia. I brought together women I love, and we gave tribute to the power of gathering, and to nature. We are currently working on the new track – Adélaïde, my first song in French! It’s a way to express my love for all my girl friends, and the inspiration I get from them. I was able to record the song at the beginning of April at Studio 36, in Vichy. On May 30, we started filming the video, which will be done in several steps. We wish to release it in September. In this video, we aim to present two different locations in Auvergne, this French region that adopted me. I fell in love with both of them: the Puy Pariou and the village of Charroux. I am lucky to have 2 musician friends by my side: Hugo Piris (violin) and Nicolas Rivoire (guitar). My dancing muse, Adélaïde Strzoda, will also be in the video. In parallel, we’re already thinking about the next songs: Miralejos, with its swaying melody; Babybel, representing my Eastern Europe roots, or Fisterra, reminding of the mystical Galicia. The process has already started! For us to keep dreaming, we need your support.
