Design of objects, Tech, Fashion & design
It is well known in the marine industry, that a ‘dragging anchor’ not only endangers the vessel and its crew, but also cause environmental damages.
A statement shared by all sailors including Yvan Bourgnon, professional skipper, who said after his trip in the Arctic:
Our challenge is to provide physical and on board measurement to make moorings reliable, safe and carefree for the owner, Captain and all those involved.
The solution we developed is: Connected Rope! A device tied with a rope between the anchor and the boat, it monitors the tension of the chain and all its movements.
Connected Rope will alert you on your smartphone of any abnormal event, allowing you to react proactively rather than see the damage afterwards.
A dedicated app communicates constantly with Connected Rope, the alarm will wake you up when needed ... And if you're on the ground, in a walk or at the restaurant, you'll always have an eye on your boat via your smartphone.
Thanks to Connected Rope, moorings are made safer ... Even a neophyte could have fun to drop the anchor with confidence!
Mathilde, at the origin of the project, embarked on the entrepreneurial adventure at the end of 2015:
Mathilde ARGAUD - CEO: " I have been bathing in the nautical world since my childhood; my father was making keels for boats. A few years ago while we were in a nautical fair, we both noticed that connected objects were becoming more and more present. We began to think of several ideas to solve the problems present in the boating field thanks to these new technologies ... What seemed impossible to solve yesterday may be solved today! And one thing leading to another, was born Largowind! "
She quickly appealed to her cousin, Maxime, to support her daily in real "right-hand" in the management of the company:
Maxime GUICHARD - COO: " Our world is changing, largely because of new technologies. Rather than undergo these changes, we decided to be actors. We do believe that technology can make our daily life easier, safer and more exciting. That's why we created Largowind, to ensure that every sailor can enjoy his boat with even more passion. "
To move things forward and move the lines, Largowind attracted two new enthusiasts:
Baptiste CORVEY-BIRON - Sales Director: " The passion that animates the sailing world is admirable. What more can a company like Largowind dream of? Transforming ideas into concrete solutions becomes easy in such an effervescent and demanding environment! "
Ulrich GAMER - Technical Expert: " For a sea enthusiast like me, it's a real chance to be able to bring my experience to a meaningful project for sailors. Participating, through the development of new technologies, in the democratization of boating is a new challenge that I am ready to take up. "
In a nutshell, a dynamic passionate team with tenacious technical, strategic and nautical expertise; united for the determined success of Largowind!
The "Largo'Team" is waiting for you to board to take a new course by your side... THANK YOU for your support!
"The Largowind company will receive the total amount of the campaign".
Step 1 - 10 000 €: With this first step, we will be able to make our prototype industrializable. An essential step to be able to sell it on a larger scale!
Step 2 - 60 000 €: The second step corresponds to the first step up the acquisition of the molds necessary to mass produce our Connected Rope.
Step 3 - € 80,000: Finally, this third step will allow us to achieve the first two and to finance the certifications of our Connected Rope.
We would also like to thank especially three actors who have supported us in the organization of this crowdfunding campaign: SAS communication (for the top level video), Mix & Mouse (for the sexy voice and sound editing) and Sailing Yacht TV (for sharing done by this well-known nautical media)... THANK THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
