Short documentary - "The Hunchback of Place Pompidou"
This film retraces part of the daily life of an old hunchbacked man, Giuseppe, living on the margins of society in order to fully live his fight, to take care of pigeons. He lived in an old unsanitary van. Every day, the man went to the Place du Center Pompidou taking with him a large quantity of seeds. An outbreak of pigeons was patiently waiting for him, that's when the show began. Passers-by gather around the old man to contemplate the scene. An extraordinary scene. The pigeons gravitate in harmony around the old man. While some pecked at the feast, others were captured in order to receive medical treatment and then regained their freedom. Giuseppe Belvedere perceived the pigeons in a way that others did not. He was considered a God in the eyes of pigeons, the lives of many of them depended on him.
