CRIS LUNA - THE MUSICAL WAR - DOUBLE LP

Hi it's CRIS LUNA! I'm an french composer, guitarist and singer I self-produced 3 albums, "Babylon Child" in 2012, "Maëlstrohm" in 2014 and "Phoenix" in 2016. With my group, we did more than 60 concerts between 2014 and 2019, my project has slowly but surely developed over these years, but now, this "damned" virus has seized the machine ... At least as far as the stage is concerned now, but I'm not determined to put my guitar away and close the doors of my imagination. Quite the contrary ! all these years of scenes, studio sessions, musical learning and creation, have forged a style and an identity for me, the high point of these ten years is in front of you. I grew up with "THE WALL", "TOMMY", MISPLACED CHILD HOOD, or MOB RULES, POWERSLAVE, MASTER OF PUPPETS, STARS DIE and so on ... these concept discs are essential pieces of my musical imagination, their theatrical and dreamlike side has always fascinated me. So today, I need you, to make the dream of a rock kid's, metalhead, self-taught musician, to press that brand new LP and CD, my first concept double album! because only the physical disk will remain. This metal odyssey composed of 12 titles, more than 72 minutes, recorded between 2017 and 2020, but delayed because of this pandemic, will finally be released on 24 December, 2021. The story of that new record is inspired by the writings of George Orwell, which will tell you the incredible fate of a musician, smashed in a post-apocalyptic world, caught in the clutches of a totalitarian order, which executes those who dare to play, listen to music. The great dark wizard in his Dome of War, relentlessly burns all the records of the earth in order to destroy all traces of rock music. Our hero is blind, the "Pigs" guardians of the Dome have burned his eyes, broke his vocal cords, he wanders alone in these haunted lands, in search of his lost love, will he find her? is there a Resistance somewhere? will the fallen angels come to his aid? The ultimate quest has begun, will the musical war take place? I composed and recorded the 12 tracks of this album, between 2017 and 2020 in the company of drummer Ben Cazzulini (Ange), bassist Nicolas Fageot (Archie Lee hooker) and guitarist Florent Latarche. The mixing was carried out expertly by Fred Dusquesne (Mass Hysteria, No One is innocent ...) Mastering by Thibault Chaumont (Trepalium, Carpenter Brut, Klone ...) these two monsters at the controls produced an enormous, powerful and rich sound. This record, which will be released this winter, will feature a magnificent illustrated booklet by the talented Julien oddo and laid out by my friend Kreadid. I can't wait to discover this work for you. Lovers of metal, prog rock, rich sound universes and without concessions, this double record is made for you!
