DÉTECTE MON ENDO, pour un dépistage précoce de la maladie de l'endométriose

Presentation of the project You know the young woman who, after the appearance of her first period, complained of intense stomach pains. You know this young woman who is regularly forced to stay in bed because of these incapacitating pains, who sometimes loses consciousness and suffers from strong nausea. She is certainly part of your entourage, since at least 1 in 10 women of childbearing age has endometriosis. This same woman would have liked to discover this diagnosis before it was too late, before the disease spread to other organs, before she became sterile. But what is endometriosis? Endometriosis is a debilitating disease characterized by an abnormal development of endometrial tissue outside the uterine cavities that can lead to infertility in women. It is very often diagnosed several years after its onset (7 years on average), this being due to the many disadvantages of current screening techniques: invasive nature and high costs (ultrasound, MRI...). Team In October 2018 facing the number of women affected by the disease and the important delay of diagnosis, we decided to launch the project Detect My Endo. With the results obtained and our ambition, we decided to create our start-up in October 2021. We are a dynamic team of four student engineers in biotechnology with complementary backgrounds! - Amélys : she is our scientific manager, she always finds a solution to every problem armed with her beaker and her test tube ! - Eléna : passionate about entrepreneurship, she is the captain of the ship! She manages the team and the progress of the project with a masterful hand. - Marine : she is our typing champion, she writes the reports and works in collaboration with Amélys at the R&D pole - Myriem : she is our expert in negotiation, she gets on the phone faster than her shadow to manage all types of situations!
