In 2012, based on the advice of Shamar Rinpoche, I left my life in the United States and moved to Dhagpo Kagyu Ling to become a full time volunteer in the support of a Dharma Center. Since that time I have been extremely blessed to have found an incredible way to support the Dharma through photography and film.
This is something that has proven to be more wonderful than I could have imagined, and it has given my life new meaning and a true sense of purpose. I have been able to represent Dhagpo and KIBI, to take photographs, make short films and document Dharmic activity all over the world for His Holiness the Karmapa, Shamar Rinpoche and Jigme Rinpoche as well as many other teachers from our lineage.
As a volunteer I have forgone a traditional career, in hopes that my work can truly benefit others, and that I can help to spread the Dharma. I offer what I do to everyone without charge, that we can all benefit from the activity of our teachers and their amazing compassion. I am supported by Dhagpo for the work I do here, for which I am very grateful. But I have many extra costs for my work, including the costs of traveling, living abroad, and equipment.
I have sold all my music equipment, my car, and most of my belongings, in hope that I will be able to finance my activity and continue to be present for important events and teachings, in fact anytime I am asked or invited to do my work. I have purchased photography equipment through loans and selling my possessions, something I do not regret at all. It has been my joy to give away the photos I take and videos I produce, to share with the world, not limited by having to sell my work.
I never planned this activity; through Shamar Rinpoche’s blessings it seems to have simply become what I do. The fact that my activity brings joy and benefit to others makes me tremendously happy. I present to you - Dharma Imagery Project; the first step in the continuation of my work and the natural and organic growth of my activity in benefit of others and in the direct support of our lineage.
THE UPCOMING EVENT
Kagyu Monlam is the largest international Dharma event of the year, I attended last year as a photographer for KIBI and it was an amazing experience. My wish is to attend again this year, to offer my work, and to help present our lineage to the world. My plan is to attend Monlam to take photographs that will be shared with all, and to make a documentary film of the event.
To offer support to his Holiness the Karmapa is especially important, in this year of the passing of Shamar Rinpoche. In order to do this, and to continue my life as a volunteer I ask for your help and contributions. Over the past months I have received unbelievable amounts of encouragement, support and wishes from people from all over the world, this has truly touched me deeply, and my only wish is to continue to do what I do, with the hope that I can continue to benefit others, to offer what I do so that anyone who wishes can experience the blessings of our lineage when they cannot be present themselves.
I need to raise 2500 euro to be able to make this next journey, however, anything over this amount will be saved for future activity, and to pay back loans for my equipment. Planning for the future - continuing my activity - for this to become truly possible requires me to plan ahead, prepare for upcoming trips and purchases, to be independent and mobile, and be ready for anything. Everything I raise here will be put towards this goal, and the more I can raise the more activity and travel I can do - the more I can share - having a foundation of support allows me to prepare for the future.
Anything and everything helps!

My five part video series following the passing of Shamar Rinpoche and the voyage we made to bring his body to Nepal for his cremation. These videos were filmed and edited by me, as well as all the original music, production and direction.

A great joy of mine is to be able to compose all the music for my film work - the link between audio and visual art forms for me is completely intertwined, one does not not excel without the other.
