Doolin’ - “Circus Boy”

Three years after the recording of our eponymous album in Nashville, we started working on Circus Boy during our last American tour in the summer of 2019, before being cut off in full swing by the pandemic and deprived of the tours planned for 2020 and 2021. Our trips across the Atlantic then gave way to studio work in France and we recorded this fifth album during the lockdowns in the legendary Ferber studio in Paris under the artistic direction of Patrice Renson (Vanessa Paradis, Phoénix, Véronique Sanson...) and Olivier Lude ("M", Johnny Halliday...). This new opus draws its inspiration from our travels, our touring experiences, friendship and creative partnerships that are created over the years, as in the song Circus Boy. Some surprises punctuate the new album, including the participation of The Screaming Orphans, Ashley Davis, and the Bumcello duo composed of Vincent Ségal (Sting, Elvis Costello, "M") and Cyril Atef (Alain Bashung, "M", Bernard Lavilliers). Today life resumes its course, the release of the long postponed album finally comes to fruition and we are happy that you are taking part in this new adventure that awaits us by contributing to the promotion of our new baby!
