FFIPP-Europe Educational Tour to Israel/Palestine

A bit of background information on us !

FFIPP-Europe is a network of students and academics engaged in raising awareness about the conflict in the Middle-East. The objectives of FFiPP are to inform and educate on the situation in Israel and Palestine.

FFIPP-Europe has several branches accross Europe : FFIPP-France, Netherlands and Switzerland.

The project

From the 3rd of June to the 9th of June, during one whole, exciting week, 20 to 25 european students will benefit from an educational tour in Israel and the West Bank.

This tour includes visits and meetings in various towns (Haifa, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Ramallah and many more) with a range of NGO's, journalists, citizens and political officials, refugee camps and families.

The goal of this educational tour is to inform about the conflict and the situation in Israel/Palestine. We are a non-partisan association, which means that we do not take sides, or judge either parties. Our ligne of action is confined to the respect of the international law and UN resolution.

To this end, we want each student to learn as much as possible and spread the word about the realities of the conflict, but also about the rich cultures and peoples they meet once they get back to their home countries.

This is why crowdfunding is especially adapted for for our project ! Not only does it allow us to raise funds, but we can also share our experiences with our funders, which is one of our main objectif at FFIPP-Europe !

Old "FFippies" testify

For Nina, (Netherlands) who participated in the educational tour 2012, the orientation tour was "an intense introduction to the complexity of the conflict, which became a 24/7 experience"

To keep in touch with you...

To follow the meetings and visits, the students will keep a blog or a tumblr. This will be the perfect way for you to have a summary of the meetings that FFIPP arranged with important NGO's or academics on the israeli-palestinian conflict, but also get a snap-shot of the beautiful landscape and habitants of Palestine and Israel.

The faces behind FFIPP-Europe

Meet Roel, the president of FFIPP-Europe !

"I am proud to be president of FFIPP Europe, because FFIPP really has a lot of potential. We have a great network of active students all around the world organizing high-profile events, our partners for internships in the Middle East do a lot of inspiring work and we are growing and professionalizing every year a little bit more"

Alice Mansion

Alice Champseix

Allocation of funds

Every small contribution counts !

To make this inspiring educational project happen, you can contribute as much as you like to the funding of the educational tour week.

Each student is responsible for it's plane ticket there and back, but once in Israel/Palestine, the most important part of our expenses is the bus and the housing !

Students will be travelling by bus everyday, for seven days, sleeping in motels along the way.

Based on our previous experiences, we have a very clear idea of how much we need !

  - Bus expenses; 1800 €

  - Speakers: 500 €

  - Participation to housing cost: 500 €

    TOTAL : 2 800 €

If ever we reach our 2 800€ objective, don't hesitate too keep funding ! We will always need the extra dollar to finance new speakers for example.
