Flolys NANO, 1st portable purifier that fights against airborne pathogens
Flolys NANO - Live & Breathe !
Flolys NANO, 1st portable purifier that fights against airborne pathogens
At Flolys, we believe that breathing fresh, clean, contaminant-free air is an essential right for everyone!
The last few months have shown that pathogens and microorganisms in the air can have a harmful and lasting impact on health. The Covid-19 crisis also shows the limits of strategies to fight new infectious diseases.
Based on this observation, and by mobilizing our fields of expertise (engineering, biology), we wanted to provide an effective solution, accessible to all..
This is why we are proud to present you the result of the project that has mobilized all our energy over the last 14 months!
Flolys NANO is a portable air purifier designed to eliminate pathogenic viruses, bacteria, protozoa, moulds and allergens from the indoor air around us.
Flolys NANO is the first hand-held device equipped with three recognized technologies (Ultraviolet, Photocatalysis, Ionizer) working in synergy. Our innovation helps you and your loved ones to be safe from airborne pathogens.
As you will soon discover, its effectiveness (validated by an independent laboratory) is breathtaking!
Flolys NANO, a miniature, compact and nomadic purifier that eliminates irritating, polluting and toxic particles. Flolys NANO decontaminates the ambient air to create a clean, healthy and pleasant atmosphere. Live and breathe with peace of mind!
Create a healthy, liveable environment
We breathe in 8,000 L of air per day! And we spend 90% of our time indoors (at home, at work, in public transports)! It is essential to breathe a contaminant-free air to stay healthy, to avoid and reduce respiratory problems... In short, to live serenely!
Flolys NANO draws in contaminated air, removes unwanted aggressors from it, and creates a bubble of clean air around you!
We spend 90% of our time in contaminated indoor air!
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), viruses, bacteria and other pathogens can durably degrade our health: Covid-19, flu, chronic respiratory diseases, infectious diseases, cancers. Indoor air pollution is responsible for the death of 3.8 million people per year (worldwide)[2,3]!
A study by the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering in Virginia (USA) has shown that several million bacteria and viruses per cubic meter are present in indoor air, whether in classrooms, medical centers, restaurants, homes or professional offices. By analogy, the interior of a sedan car has a volume of 3 cubic meters.
Flolys NANO helps you keep these pathogens away!
... And gradually create a pleasant feeling of outdoor living at a rate of 9m3/h. Enough to purify your workspace, your sofa area, your bathroom in one hour, or your bedroom in two to three hours!
How does Flolys NANO work in practice? We'll get to that in a moment 😊, but first:
Are traditional purifiers efficient and eco-friendly?
The principle of operation of a traditional purifier is generally limited to filtering the ambient air. They are effective in trapping dust, but what do they really do for pathogens, bacteria, viruses? On the other hand, the filter (often with activated carbon), even if it is regularly cleaned, must be replaced every 3 to 4 months... And it is not recyclable!
Why is Flolys NANO the new gold standard in portable air purifiers?
We have designed Flolys with the objective of offering a radical solution against all biological aggressors, while preserving the environment: 0 residual chemical compound, 0 consumables...
A unique concentrate of high-tech in a nomadic and compact housing
Flolys NANO purifies and decontaminates the ambient air thanks to the synergy of three proven technologies:
Ultraviolet light (UVc)
- UVc technology is the most effective way to destroy pathogens: they directly destroy the molecular machinery[5-7] that enables them to attack us. In other words, UVC makes them lose their contaminating power. Viruses (including coronaviruses[8,9], colds and flu), bacteria, protozoa, spores, fungi nothing can resist UVc!
- Photocatalysis: a gift of nature that disintegrates the membranes of pathogens. They lose their physical integrity and die quickly [10-12].
⇒ Tip: Photocatalysis also removes even the toughest chemical pollutants from the air (formaldehyde, sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, etc ). The air around you is depolluted and bad smells are eliminated (kitchen, sanitary facilities, transportation, etc.).
- Negative ions act as a veritable net for pathogens, trapping them and preventing them from reaching your lungs and eyes, thus causing harm [14-16].
⇒ Tip: this trap is also effective against fine particles (PM 10, PM 2.5)[17-19]! Flolys NANO produces 30 million pcs/cm3 of negative ions. This makes it one of the most efficient nomadic ion generators in the world.
Flolys NANO does not use any consumables (chemicals, filters), and operates without any production of ozone or other polluting chemical compounds.
A proven and plebiscited efficiency
Efficiency combined with performance: with a capacity of 9 m3/h, it can decontaminate a car interior in just 15 minutes, a room in 2 to 3 hours.
*Based on a study carried out by an independent laboratory in a volume of 1m3, with a sampling area of 1,140 cm2.
With Flolys NANO, benefit from 3 of the most efficient and studied physical decontamination and disinfection technologies in the world!
Flolys NANO takes care of the health of the whole family
Fresh air, wherever you are
Flolys accompanies you everywhere. Its directional flow creates a bubble of pure air around you in all circumstances (at home, on vacation, on public transport, at work...). It draws in polluted air from all directions and redistributes clean air wherever you want.
With Flolys, breathe the air your body needs!

Allocation of funds
To date, the entire development phase of our product + validation of prototypes (including tests in independent laboratories) have been completed.
Now, we wish to launch the production/industrialization, and for this we need funds to :
- Purchase moulds (plastic injection)
- Purchase tools & components for electronic boards
- Assemble of the first series
We have budgeted all of these expenses at €20,000.
