GWEN & BEN, our first album
I'm Benoît and I wanted to share with you a (big) piece of my life. When I was 18, I went to an American bar in Paris where a singer was playing with a guitarist. It is for me a revelation that will never leave me... I bought a guitar and quickly started my first performances influenced by my references of the time which are Elton John, Prince, The Eagles, The Police, David Bowie, The Rolling Stones and The Beatles to name a few. For about fifteen years, solo (guitar-voice) and with my group the "TLC Band", I have only one goal: to share and transmit the beautiful energies of music (www.tranquillelechat.com). Recently I met again my first childhood love, Gwen, who also sang in choirs. She started her family, I started mine, but bringing out my songs that were sleeping in a drawer was an obvious choice. So I naturally proposed her to put her voice on one of them, we are in 2019 and the magic begins to operate ... In parallel, we sing in bars, for weddings and in the Med Clubs... (https://www.facebook.com/duopoptubes/) The Covid which will put an end for two years to this last activity, will allow us to compose new songs inspired by our reunion. This particular and timeless period will be a real sign of destiny. From this chaos were born Gwen & Ben... The magic that I felt at the beginning of the band took all its rise and today all that was born from our feathers, our voices, our hearts, our instruments, we want to share them with you! You can find our tracks on our SoundCloud in a demo version (https://soundcloud.com/user-gwen-ben) before they go through the hands of real professionals and finally release our first album! It will be called "Hors du Temps" in echo to the context and to our unlikely reunion after all these years... Influenced by pop, rock and variety in French, our songs are about love, our society and our daily life. We can't wait for you to listen to them, we can't wait for you to feel the energy we put into them to transmit and share our sense of life. This life that we hold dear and that we value. This life which must be celebrated, here by what we know how to do, at our level in all modesty, the music... 🎶🎸
