A pedal harp for my studies

I am a 14 years old. When I was 8, I started playing the harp at the Harp Center Brussels with <a href="https://www.mariapalatine.com/" target="_blank">Maria Palatine</a>. Then by chance in a French Fries Place in Ostende, my family and I talked to the lady cooking the fries.  Talking to her, we discovered that there is a Flemish secondary school with artistic options in Brussels Laeken; <a href="https://www.kunsthumaniorabrussel.be/" target="_blank">Kunsthumaniora Brussel.</a> Now I had direction!</p> <p>Since I spent all of my primary school years in a French speaking school, I didn’t speak Dutch which I decided to sign up for in the new school.  I decided, anyway, to go to that school because there was a great opportunity and most importantly of all, because they had options for music, dance and theatre. I was very motivated, and even though it was not in French I attended.  I immediately participated in Dutch workshops and took private lessons to learn the basics of the Dutch language and felt more at ease to start the school.  I made the right choice because I love my school and feel that I’m in the right place.</p> <p><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/662235/IMG-20190405-WA0001-1588246959.jpg" width="100%" /></p> <p>For almost two years, I have a new harp teacher at <a href="https://www.kunsthumaniorabrussel.be/" target="_blank">Kunsthumaniora Brussel :</a> Marta Szabo.  She is a very good teacher for classical harp and she always encourages me to progress.  I need, however, a pedal harp to continue my studies in classical music. This fund raising request is necessary to enable me to purchase the new instrument to continue. Without it, I can’t progress anymore or learn new techniques. I need a pedal harp!</p> <p>We rented a Celtic Harp at the Harp Center Brussels the first years.  Now for the last couple of years our neighbor Sarah lent me her Celtic Harp. During my harp lessons at school, I played on their concert harp. Now it’s time to be able to practice at home on a pedal harp so I can play the more demanding classical music. </p> <p>Sadly, it is not possible to rent a pedal harp and they are very expensive to buy, costing between 15,000 E and 30,000 E. With this campaign, I need to contribute to this purchase, as my parents can’t afford to pay for all of it.  </p> <p><strong>More details follow about my curriculum of study:</strong></p> <p>I am a student in the second year of the artistic secondary school<a href="https://www.kunsthumaniorabrussel.be/" target="_blank"> Kunsthumaniora, Brussel</a>. Soon I will be entering the third year and will have 12 hours of music every week: harp, ensemble-play, choir, music theory and singing (my second instrument).   I will be participating full in the music option, so I will play my harp for several hours.
