New goal : 200 % !

We thank you very much for your support ! 100 % of the goal from the 5th day of the campaign !

We are aiming for a new target of 200 %, which will allow us to invest in the making of bottles !

Iced Gin in a few words

Iced Gin is distilled from plants from the Arctic. Freeze it ! When the polar bear, the emblem of the brand, turns from white to blue, the gin is ready to be enjoyed ! Pre-order your bottle and receive a price discount right now !

The cool creators !

Iced Gin has been designed and developed by Guillaume Neri, aged 33, who dreamed of taking on a project that is beyond ordinary! Guillaume, who holds a master’s degree in communication, has had the opportunity to work in a variety of sectors, giving him a broad range of skills that he wants to use to serve his passion: gin spirits.

Following initial experience in this sector in 2015, a collaboration with Charleroi Entreprendre to pursue the project, and long months of research and development, Guillaume suggested to his partner, Amélie Lanis, that they embark on this adventure together!

The origins of Iced Gin

It all began one evening in 2017 when, after sampling various quality gins with friends, Guillaume asked himself what he sees as a fundamental question :

‘Why bother chilling your glass of gin with ice cubes, and your bottle of tonic in the fridge, when the gin bottle is stored in a cupboard ?’

A glass of gin and tonic contains between 20% and 30% gin. That will obviously impact the average temperature of your delicious glass of gin and tonic. So why not chill the gin too ?

The polar bear lets you know when to serve the gin !

It was then that Guillaume looked into an iced concept, based on the ‘total coldness’ of gin and tonic. He wanted to give gin lovers and new enjoyment experience.

Guillaume dreamed of being able to select, combine and distil a base of plants that grow at an average temperature of -18 °C in the Arctic region. To push the coldness to its limit, he wanted to showcase their flavours after they have been chilled in the freezer, ideally to -18 °C !

Freeze your bottle! When the polar bear turns from white to blue, Iced Gin is sufficiently chilled to be enjoyed to the full! Cheers !

An authentic and organic gin

He therefore decided to present the Iced Gin project to his trusted partner, the Radermacher distillery. He right away gained their trust and their support in researching and developing a unique recipe !

To do this, after more than two years of recipe development, Guillaume and the Radermacher distillery were able to establish reliable contacts to acquire supplies of these ancient plants. Originating in western Greenland, near the Baffin Sea, these plants are distilled to create flavours certified as 100% natural, with no pesticides or preservatives. An iced and organic gin !

Following several trials of different blends and quantities, they succeeded in finding the perfect balance. Its subtle combination allows Iced Gin to fully express its coldness and the quintessence of its flavours after being frozen, ideally to -18 °C.

From the prototype stage to the product stage

Alongside the development of the Iced Gin recipe, Guillaume also had to consider the packaging for the bottle in order for it to most effectively reflect the product’s promise. He was lucky to meet a designer who was enthusiastic about the project and showed a great deal of flexibility. By providing invaluable and sound advice, the designer helped guide and inform Guillaume in order to create the first version of Iced Gin !

Alpha version

Beta Version

What is the product promise of Iced Gin ?

Iced Gin is distilled from plants from the Arctic, in western Greenland near the Baffin Sea. This sea of ice, discovered in 1616 by William Baffin and given his name, is home to polar bears that have thrived in sub-zero temperatures for millennia.

Like the polar bear, the subtle flavours distilled in our gin thrive throughout the year at an average temperature of -18 °C.

This exclusive gin has been specially crafted to be enjoyed iced as a reflection of the plants gathered in the wild tundra. Our refreshing recipe is created using plants from the region, such as herb bennet, dwarf birch, opposite-leaved saxifrage, moss campion and polar willow. When combined with the traditional juniper berry, the defining characteristic of a gin, the perfect balance of coolness, bitterness and roundness is created !

Iced Gin transports you to the Arctic and gives you a whole new kind of taste experience. Chill the bottle in your freezer, ideally to -18 °C. When the gin is sufficiently chilled, the polar bear turns from white to blue to let you know the gin is ready to serve. Iced Gin can be enjoyed chilled with a premium tonic water or chilled neat.

Our initial successes

After three full years developing the Iced Gin concept, the following has already been accomplished:

- The partnership with a renowned manufacturer for the production of our customised bottles;

- The partnership with the Radermacher distillery for the co-development of the recipe, bottling and storage of the gin bottles;

- The organisation of some 10 tastings and the approval of the recipe by panels of around 100 people;

- The investment in the equipment required for future large-scale bottle production, the registration of the trademark, the reservation of domain names for the future website, the creation of videos and visuals to promote the crowdfunding campaign on social networks, the brand universe and the graphic design for the bottle. PS. Our passionate designer has generously worked without payments so far and it will therefore be necessary to pay him when funds are raised;

- The creation of a presence on four social networks enabling communication with our future customers to direct them to a future website, as well as significant engagement from our community, without putting any money into advertising, particularly on Instagram ().

Steps and key dates

Now that we have established a solid base in terms of partnerships and support from our community, we want to cut to the chase and launch the funding of Iced Gin to give the brand with the polar bear a start. Then it is a matter of ensuring the continuity of sales and helping Iced Gin grow !

FROM 1 NOVEMBER TO 15 DECEMBER 2020

Fund-raising on KissKissBankBank

The desired objective is the total financing of the brand during the crowdfunding campaign on KissKissBankBank, enabling the production of the first 650 bottles of Iced Gin. If this objective is achieved, we will set up the company that will manage the brand and be able to ensure further future gin production.

What happens if we do not achieve the objective ?

You are reimbursed! KissKissBankBank automatically reimburses your contributions if we do not achieve our initial target.

What happens if we exceed our objective ?

Simply put, we will be in a position to ensure the production of more bottles and in this way delight more palates! We will also have the opportunity to expand our offering to supply, for example, our own glasses :-).

FROM JANUARY 2021

Production of the first bottles of Iced Gin

FROM MARCH 2021

Delivery of pre-ordered bottles and starting-up of online sales

Once the funds have been raised, we will be in a position to begin production of the bottles pre-ordered from January 2021. A launch evening will be organised in Belgium for you to collect your bottle(s) of Iced Gin, in accordance with the health measures in effect in March 2021.

If events during this period are banned, we will provide you with a specific timetable offering you various locations for the collection of your bottle(s)! Outside Belgium, pre-ordered bottles will be delivered to the address you have provided. Delivery charges may vary depending on location abroad.

Iced Gin will be sold in Belgium, Europe and worldwide via the e-shop on our future website. Costs for advertising on social networks will help to further support online sales. With the current health measures, we can be certain of one thing: online sales have never been so dependable as they are now, and we should use this business model for the time being.

POTENTIALLY FROM 2022

Start of sales in specialist alcohol retail stores, in the Horeca sector and of exports

Depending of future government measures, we will potentially be able to start distributing Iced Gin to specialist alcohol retail stores, in addition to online sales. We will also target Belgium’s most popular bars and restaurants, and then exports !

The benefit to you of pre-ordering now !

By pre-ordering Iced Gin right now, you are not only giving the project every chance of thriving, but you will also receive an exclusive 10% price discount on each bottle! You will also be invited to our future launch evening, as soon as health measures allow :-).
