Internet of things

Why the "internet of things"?

2013 is going to be the internet of things year. There are more and more connected object to change your days. Nike (fuelband), Samsung, Apple all the big manufacturer will have one. Google already have the Google glass. May be you have already see one, like the Nabaztag.

In this situation where need to be done, many people want to do their own connected objets. Actually it's very difficult and very long.

The project

The aim of the project is to give a kit for easy construction of connected object. With this kit, the "Do it Yourself" fans will be able to make their own connected objects.

How?

We will develop some kits ready to use with all the elements to create connected objects described on the manual included on the kit. Based on that, the user could create his own object or application with the components. He could also buy some new components and modules on a specific web shop. This web shop will include main boards (Arduino, Raspberry Pi...), communication modules Bluetooth, Wifi, HF...) and sensors and motors. All the components will be plug and play to make the hardware easier for newbie. The product could work completely independently.

After that?

The user wil have a dedicated blog and forum to share his own object. The user could be able to give his feedback on that and if he need he could have some help from the community.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The rewards

The team thanking

Want to participate in this crowdfunding without buying a kit, you already have the hardware and want to use to create your connected objects, this participation is for you.

The programmable board

Have sensors and want to set up, this formula includes a board and access to the tutorial to create your own objects. This kit includes a programmable board (Arduino type) and the access to our tutorials database.

The "basic" kit includes:

- 1 programmable board (Arduino type)

- 1 cabled sensor of your choice (Around 10 sensor types available)

- 1 cabled motors / indicator of your choice: Many different types available (motors, servos, LCD...)

- 1 basic kit include a breadboard (easy connection board for fast wiring), connections cables, LEDS, resistors et des push buttons

The "Bluetooth" kit includes:

- 1 programmable board (Arduino type)

- 1 Bluetooth module

- 2 cabled sensor of your choice (Around 10 sensor types available)

- 2 cabled motors / indicator of your choice: Many different types available (motors, servos, LCD...)

- 1 basic kit include a breadboard (easy connection board for fast wiring), connections cables, LEDS, resistors et des push buttons

 The "Wifi" kit includes:

- 1 programmable board (Arduino type)

- 1 Wifi module

- 2 cabled sensor of your choice (Around 10 sensor types available)

- 2 cabled motors / indicator of your choice: Many different types available (motors, servos, LCD...)

- 1 basic kit include a breadboard (easy connection board for fast wiring), connections cables, LEDS, resistors et des push buttons

The "Wifi & Bluetooth" kit includes:

- 1 programmable board (Arduino type)

- 1 Wifi module

- 1 bluetooth module

- 3 cabled sensor of your choice (Around 10 sensor types available)

- 3 cabled motors / indicator of your choice: Many different types available (motors, servos, LCD...)

- 1 basic kit include a breadboard (easy connection board for fast wiring), connections cables, LEDS, resistors et des push buttons

The education kits

Educational kits allow the purchase of 5 kits with a greater diversity of sensors and motors / indicators to allow the establishment of training groups around the creation of connected objects. Those kits are especially suited to coworking spaces or training typical school students design / engineering school.

Allocation of funds

The crowdfunding will help launch the first set of kit. It will also finance the website, writing tutorials and events to promote the creation of connected objects.

The money will be used according to the following distribution:

- 600€ to create a stock of components for kits provided to users

- 100€ fees for the website (hosting, purchase of advertising space)

- 220€ to make events and promote the creation of connected objects to the startup environment

- 80€ Kiss Kiss Bank Bank fees
