<p> It all started in 2003, when Amaia's brother was adopted from <strong>the orphanage GLA (God's Littlest Angels) in Haiti</strong>. He is now 12.</p> <p>  </p> <p> GLA is a Haitian orphanage located in the mountains above Petion-Ville, close to the village of Fermate. The majority of the 128 children brought to the orphanage are from newborn to seven years old.</p> <p> God's Littlest Angels has been involved in international adoptions since 1997.</p> <p>  </p> <p> <img alt="Haiti-1430824186" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/194191/haiti-1430824186.png"></p> <p>  </p> <p> We then decided to help this orphanage which took great care of Amaia's brother.</p> <p> We created a <strong>fund raising sale</strong> with our parents and several artists and craftsmen from our town. It has been taking place every year during spring season for the last 9 years.</p> <p> We also participate to a Christmas sale supporting a lot of humanitarian organizations from all over the world.</p> <p>  </p> <p> We both participate to those two sales since the age of 8. Beyond taking care of orphans, GLA is also having a school sponsorship program to help neighbouring children to go to school.</p> <p>  </p> <p> <img alt="Scolar-1430859562" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/194453/scolar-1430859562.png"></p> <p>  </p> <p> We send all the fund we raise to this program.</p> <p> In Haiti, only 1 child out of 3 goes to school ! Haïti's future will go through <strong>education</strong>.</p> <p> Last year, with the help of artists and craftsmen from our town, we raised enough money to send <strong>24</strong> <strong>children </strong>to school. It is a lot as school is very expensive.</p> <p>  </p> <p> This is the first part of our engagement to help the orphanage. We now want to help them in a more practical way.</p> <p>  </p> <p> We will go to GLA this summer for 3 weeks <strong>to volunteer, </strong>from July 17 to August 10. We will live at the orphanage.</p> <p>  </p> <p> Durig our stay we will take care of the children. We will give them food, help them to get clean, we will teach them how to play, we will walk with them... We will be there for them.</p> <p> This orphanage hosts every chlidren, some of them are disabled. We will help them develop.</p> <p> We will spend time with the babies, the young children but also the elder ones.</p> <p>  </p> <p> In GLA, the nurses feed the child and take care of them. For the orphans to develop well and recover from their trauma, the orphanage wants to give them <strong>love </strong>through a continuous presence of volunteers. We will share pictures of the orphanage and the children for the visitors and exhibitors to understand who they support.</p> <p>  </p> <p> We will also visit <strong>kinder garden and primary schools</strong> in Meudon to share what we did. We want to explain to the youngest how other children from the same age are living in Haiti and speak about <strong>solidarity</strong>.</p>
