<h3 style="text-align:center"><em><strong>The book of our confinement in 56 Photos inspired by famous paintings</strong></em></h3> <p><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/664434/Day25Elizabet_Castillo_Animalier-1589454302.jpg" width="100%" /></p> <p>Since the beginning of the lockdown in France, I have been photographing my daily life with my husband, portraying us in photographs inspired by famous paintings.</p> <p>Every day, from March 17th to May 11th, we published on our Instagram page and Facebook a photo and painting dyptic with a tip, a sentence or a joke.</p> <h2 style="text-align:center">&nbsp;</h2> <h3 style="text-align:center"><strong><em>Who are we?</em></strong></h3> <p style="text-align:center"><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/664432/_MG_6964-1589454124.jpg" />&nbsp;&nbsp; <img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/664509/_MG_6960-1589471764.jpg" /></p> <p>Elizabet Castillo documentary photographer of Cuban origin and Xavier Malingre Fitness Trainer, restorer and model in training of French origin, both Globetrotters and married since 2017.</p> <p>Before the COVID-19 crisis, we were in the process of creating a small business that would allow us to combine our passions and talents. Unfortunately, our plans have changed and our project has been postponed until further notice as well as my photo exhibitions and photographic projects. As we didn&#39;t know how long we would be in lockdown, we wanted to bring a positive touch to all this through art. We then embarked on the creation of a new project in which we evoke our daily life, in a period of confinement, by portraying ourselves in photographs inspired by famous paintings. With our project, we wanted to bring a touch of humour to the situation, to include advice and laughter.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h3 style="text-align:center"><strong><em>The Book in detail</em></strong></h3> <p><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/664436/2-1589454461.jpg" width="100%" /></p> <p><br /> Seeing the impact and positive feedback on the networks we got with the photos, we decided to create a book to allow visibility of our project outside the net. With a book, the viewer can hold the images, making the interaction more personal.</p> <p>The fact that we have friends and family all over the world gave us the idea to write the story of each photo in three languages, French, English and Spanish. The book also contains the history of the beginning of this particular event in our lives, as well as our adaptation to the situation for everyday life and some behind-the-scenes photos.
